After reading some profiles, I realize I'm not the only one who's not too thrilled about filling up this section. What could I say that hasn't been said on dozens of other profiles? How can a few hundred words be enough to make you think that you'd be passing on a good thing by not getting to know me?

Well, since it looks like this is the inevitable (how else would you know if we have anything in common?), let's scratch the surface...

I am a workaholic in remission who's in the process of regaining a normal social life (almost a year now... and no relapse!). I moved here for work a few years back and still am a little unfamiliar with the area. Though I've done some exploration by myself, I would like to discover what else the region has to offer in good company.

In a nutshell : I'm a country girl at heart, yet I live in the city where my career took me. I'm a dog person, yet I own a cat that I rescued from certain death. I love the outdoors, yet I can enjoy the effervescence of the city as well. I'm easy going, yet goal driven. I'm very independant, yet I appreciate surrounding myself with people I can count on. I'm very spontaneous and adventurous, yet I still haven't jump off a plane (with a parachute, of course).

But enough of those contradictions. What else could I say about myself? I love good food, and find baking therapeutic and cooking fun (though not as much when just for one). I'm also a music lover (ecclectic, yet definetly more into rock than hip hop, and will pick classical over country), a huge movie buff, and an avid reader. I don't consider myself an athlete by any means. That being said, I think I'm a pretty active person. I'm an avid skier, I love biking, I go to the gym, I run and swim regularly and wouldn't mind refreshing my kitesurfing/windsurfing moves if I had someone to go to the beach with.

Though I would love to meet someone who would somewhat share my enthusiasm for physical activities, I know I am defintely looking forward to meeting someone who could offer stimulating conversations (read not revolving solely around a hockey game or a V8 engine). Wit and sense of humor are a must (particularly if you decide to indeed talk about hockey since I am a Habs fan... he he he).

Well, I guess that sums it up. If you want to know more, just let me know. But first, let me reassure you. I'm pretty sure I'm more interesting in person than on... virtual paper!

I'd go for a drink, a tea, or an outdoor activity. I'll keep the bungee jumping for once I've established you're up for it.
