Hi, I’m CropredyBadger. Nothing to do with foraging in hedgerows, just a bit of a folkie during the hot summer months and Cropredy Music Festival is one of the highlights of my year.

My career has taken me from engineering (ah, the glamour of sewage treatment works), to meteorology (including a stint forecasting for Norway – guess what, it snows a lot), and now environmentalism.

I’m generally quiet around new people, but warm to those I find I have a rapport with. You’ll find that once committed to a friendship, I’m deeply loyal and supportive of my friends.

I enjoy being with someone creative and intriguing. They would be equally happy to dine out, visit the theatre or a museum, or simply stay in and chat over wine and a boardgame.

I like to have a number of creative (generally writing) projects on the go at any one time. I can be enthusiastic, even Tiggerish at times. I’m not much into organized sport but I’m addicted to my (very) early morning run and always enjoy a good swim. To relax I escape onto the garden and have an extensive range of herbs – it’s great to have handfuls to throw into whatever experimental dish I’m attempting. Holidays are usually somewhere with plenty of historical interest; ideally coastal so I can have my fix of seafood, sand ‘n’ swimming – Reading is rather landlocked.

I’m a bit of a culture vulture and will see any obscure show or art exhibit that takes my eclectic fancy. Comedy is my particular passion and I’m regularly out to see a comedy act or show.
