I find it rather ironic that this is the year I put a pond (with fish) in my backyard and rejoined POF. My life is pretty flexible due to, and in spite of, the demands of my work, so I'm not a nine to five kind of person. In future I'd like to slow it down a little. I have lots to occupy my free time and am blessed with friends and family who actually seek out my company. :) I am ultimately looking for something long-term but it has to start somewhere. I won't put a label on it if you don't. :) I am a good friend and a good listener and can very easily be "one of the guys" if the occasion calls for it. But I can change it up in 15 minutes flat if you want to hit the town. You can bring a stopwatch and time me. :)
P.S. The pics are new. It does freak people out from time to time that I look (and sound) much younger than my age.

First dates should be casual. It shouldn't feel so much like a date as hanging out with a new friend. I think it's always a good idea to cut a guy some slack and not put any expectations on it. Coffee dates are always good, but so is going to a particular neighborhood on the weekend and just checking things out. You never know what you will see. The beach or the lake is always a good idea, no matter what the weather.
