I am 38 years old and have been divorced for about 2 years. I was married for 17 years. Needless to say, I am enjoying my new found independence as a single adult woman and am not eagerly looking to find the next "Mr," but I'm a firm believer in things happening for a reason and allowing things to progress naturally. The past three years have been a journey of self-discovery and personal growth and a learning experience that I can stand on my own two feet. I realize that I don't NEED another person to lean on, but I am ready to CHOOSE to bring a person back into my life who will enhance it and who wants to share it.

I am a plus size woman; however, I am going to the gym at least 3 times a week and am in really good health/shape. I am 5'3", have dark brown hair although I have blond highlights in it right now, and have hazel/green eyes (that tend to change color with my moods). I have lots of energy and am very active--I enjoy camping, nature walks, swimming, and boating. I really do care about my body and take care of myself, but I do have curves.
Physically I'm attracted to tall (6ft. plus) guys, but intelligence, sense of humor, and personality are also very important. I typically like dark hair (dark blond, dark brown) and green or bright blue eyes. I'm not partial to facial hair although I do like a little as in a goatee--not into the Grizzly Adams look though, and I do prefer someone who takes care of himself and cares about how he looks but not obsessively.
I tend to be very liberal in my thinking and am somewhat opinionated. I am an educated woman, but I am not a "snob" in that sense. I am very shy initially, but once I open up, I am a lot of fun and enjoy having a good time.
