OK, now on to the about me:
I'm very eclectic in my interests and activities: River Rat, Writing, Beach, Mountains, Crafting, PowWow Dancing (Womens Tradish Northern), Gardening, Reading, History, Cultural Preservation, Human and Equal Rights, playing flute, Karaoke, Clubs -occasionally, boating (non motor), Animals (yes I have a zoo..LOL), Cooking, Eating, Swimming, Salsa Dancing, and other Latin dances
hmmm... well this Kat has just scratched the surface...LOL
As for music, mainly rock n roll,
all genre, Indigenous music, Latin music, Classic, Jazz, Blues, old tymey blue grass, just about anything except gangster and ranchero.
I am a writer (and a spell check junkie!), have had many articles and poems published in the past. As for now, I am working on my first novel, a slow and winding process compared to the other genres I have written before.
I see many of these people say no drama, I don't want drama either, but the challenges of life are not what I consider drama, and if you stop and think about it we all have some sort of baggage (in our age bracket) it's just how you deal with it. Have you moved on? have you learned? and can you accept others and yourself for who they've/you've become?

OK, I have to get a little ...chy here, as I'm purposely turning this ocean of fish into a pond of the best trout that came out of the Oconuluftee!
Like everyone, I have preferences as to what I find attractive and things in life that well, are very unattractive to me.
*Honesty
*Sincerity
*Someone who can think for them selves, and bring the abstract full circle around that box.
*A quick wit, can be dry at times, but not as dry as the Mojobe. I enjoy some slapstick, and tung in cheek, but not blatant raunchy humor.
*I do not like extremes in religion or politics.
*I am a moderate Democrat.
Usually (I have found) healthy debates turn into personal attacks with little substance of support for statements, with those of extremes.
*I do not like face fur, sorry.
*I like a fun time out time to time,
but am not into alcoholism! (We have had too many in our community who have lost the balance, and lead to many social and health issues.)
So if you are social or non drinker that is good.
Nor am I into watching Nascar with 2 cases of beer, weekends are so much better out off the couch!
*I may not be your cup of coffee, if all you want is to be my friend or nothing at all, be honest, be a man, don't just disappear after leading me on. I'm a big girl, I can take honesty. I admire, appreciate, and respect honesty.
*I do not appreciate our culture being ripped off or mis represented!
*I do not want a man who just wants to be cool w/ an NDN on his arm, or the white guy who thinks it is a fun challenge to change me or my culture! Nor do I want just an NDN man just because he's NDN.
*I want a good man, an honest man, a funny man, a strong man, a sweet man, a smart man, a man of principle, a man of his word.

****(update: Well I ran out smokes on Saturday evening, June 27, 2009. I have not tried to buy or bum any. This is not the first time I have stopped smoking, but I hope it will be the last. Those of you who fight this cowboy will understand.)****
