Sure, I could talk about cliche topics (hobbies, goals, music) but, in my experience, none of that has anything to do with dating. All that matters is a sense of humor and intellect. I guess you can add ambition and physical attraction to that list. And maybe sexual compatibility if you're into that sort of thing. Oh, and according to my single source of knowledge, television commercials with catchy jingles - a decent credit score.

I'm terrible at talking about myself, but I love random trivia, so let's enjoy that instead. During the 1920's, bootleggers in the South would transport alcohol to major cities in normal cars. They would, however, modify them by taking out seats and anything that would lower the weight or increase the storage. In order to outrun police, they would also modify the engines of these cars. Like anything that combines skill and speed, the owners of the modified cars took great pride in them and began racing against each other. After prohibition was repealed, the racing continued and became known as NASCAR. So we have prohibition to thank for that. And the Kennedy's fortune (yes, they were bootleggers).

I should note here, I'm not into NASCAR, I prefer Formula 1, where the cars turn both right and left.

First dates are always tough. I'm a big fan of miniature golf or bowling - simple, easy, and there's room to actually get to know each other. Sure, there's a (very good) chance I'll do miserable and embarrass myself, but I'll make up for it with self-deprecating humor.
