A loving, caring, sensitive and independent lady with a wry and witty sense of humor. A good listener and communicator; most of my friends will attest to that. Travel is one of my favorite hobbies. It might be a planned tour or just a spur of the moment jaunt to an unknown destination. I'm retired after a quite interesting 30 yr. career as a civil servant with the Army. When not traveling or doing things around the house, I volunteer in the local area. Family means a great deal to me and time spent with them is treasured. My daughter lives in a neighboring state and visits with her are as frequent as time permits between us both. A gentleman who likes the outdoors would probably fit nicely with me, one that enjoys doing things around the house and in the yard. When it comes to relaxing, a movie at the theater or one at home snuggling on the couch might be in order. Going out to dinner, listening to music, taking in local flea markets and festivals, traveling, camping and motorcycling might be other things he and I could enjoy. The possibilities are unlimited. If the guy I find is retired that's great, but if he's employed hopefully he's in a financially stable job. Meeting the right guy might lead to more, but at this stage in my life I'm not looking for marriage. On the other hand, never say never.

A simple dinner date, a picnic in the park, a meeting at a coffee shop ot just a ride in the country, where we could talk and get to know each other, would be a great first date. The important thing is that we both enjoy ourselves.
