I am here because I very much would like to meet someone that I can share happiness with. Over the past 10 years, I have been in and out of some long and short term relationships, that were fun and exciting at times, but were not quite the right fit. I realize now that relationships sometimes take work and I am ready for that challenge. I am ready to give the attention that a special person deserves and the time to let that spark grow. Would like to say that it was who I was with in the past that is why I'm still single but that wouldn't be entirely truthful. In some ways I was very mature at an early age and in some others, just getting there. Doesnt mean that I've been unfaithful or dishonest with anyone in my past. Just wasn't ready to give the 100% that is required to make something wonderful and lasting.
Feels like when I was 28 all it had to be was fun. Now it needs to be fun and so much more! Now we are set in our ways and have a clearer understanding of what we need/desire in our life partner. For those of you past 35, I hope this makes sense.
Without getting into too much detail, Im quite certain that I never want to live anywhere other than the New Jersey area. Lived in California for 4 years and it was a blast but this is home.
Started swimming a decade ago and I truly love it. Wish it gave me broader shoulders and some extra muscle but it does make me feel amazingly fit and happy. Also love to spend as much time as possible with friends and family. Enjoy cooking though my skills come and go. Summer is my favorite season because there are ballgames, festivals, outdoor concerts, the BEACH&OCEAN and so many other things I look especially forward to all year long.

Tried dating sites some in the past. When I first started I dated often. Thought that is what you were 'supposed' to do. It wasn't at all for me. Found that I was meeting many women but not getting to know anyone. Would rather spend one quality hour with someone I have an optimistic feeling about other than a dozen 'coffee/drink' dates that are used to 'test the waters'.
