I'm Hollie. I have a 5 year old son. He's my buddy and I'm his biggest fan. We share a love for adventure and excitement. We are a team and do everything together, however, I'm never opposed to getting a babysitter. Being with him opens my eyes to how blessed my life really is. We have a simple life and love every minute of it.
I'm kind of an animal nut, I guess. I have a small herd of cats, three ducks, two goats, a rooster named Burt,a new rabbit named Commander Fluffypaws, and my dog Max. Luckily, most of them live outside. I never intended on "animal collecting" to become a hobby, I just have a big yard, and I think kids should be able to experience being kids. Animals are a part of that! Plus, there's a little farmgirl in me. I enjoy simple things, wake up to the rooster, go feed the goats and ducks... I'm raising a boy... I get dirty.
Don't get me wrong, there's some city girl in me too. I always wear heels (yup, always) and can shop like there's no tommorrow. All of my tools are pink. I've traveled all over the world. And I have a fur coat.
I'd have to say that I'm probably closer to being a tomboy though, Not neccessarily by choice, but I'm a single mom ~ I've got priorities to keep in order. Who's gonna take care of us if I don't? And how can I not consider myself the luckiest person alive when I look around and see so many blessing? I try not to let greed in my life. I count miracles. I am content and happy with my world, but that's not to say that I wouldn't like to invite someone in to share it. I'm not here find happiness, I'm here to enhance the happiness I have!
Apparently, I'm a little evil and twisted, but in a sweet/innocent way. Always laughing. Always smiling. I know my worth. I'm a peacemaker. I'm insightful. I'm caring. And I've got some intelligence behind me. With that said, I have little to no attention span and have self~diagnosed myself with a retard syndrome that is slowly taking over my brain. I am dependant on a dry erase board that hangs on my refrigerator... without it I would be lost. Somewhere along my path I learned that if it's not going to matter in a year from now, why lose sleep over it? That's both good and bad, I think. I'm so passive. I don't fight unless it's really worth it. Being in a situation where I'm under constant stress and struggle just sounds miserable to me. I have such a peaceful world, why would I want conflict like that? Not to say that I would never get upset, I just don't do well with drama or pouting. If there's an issue, lets get it resolved and get back to enjoying life. Don't be a baby when you have so much to be happy about! However, being so passive also gives me that whole "airhead" quality. My worst habit is not returning calls, I just plain forget. And if you need to tell me something important, you've gotta say "Hollie, this is important and I need you to stop what you're doing and listen" before you tell me. HENCE, a dry erase board on the fridge.
I LOVE to do outdoors stuff and clean and grill. I like camping, bonfires, and renovating (you know, getting dirty and learning how to remodel). I love going up to Higgins Lake and hikes and art fairs and flea markets and scooters. I love to go for drives anywhere and see friends. I love to try new things and explore new towns and activities. I'm obsessed with painting things (rooms, the mailbox, the clothesline, etc.).
I'm planning to spend summer working on my house and enjoying the weather and playing. I'll go to the cabin and the Demolition derby. I'll paint the barn and take my son camping. I'll spend time with friends, look for new things in the paper to try, and get burnt on the beach! I'll sucker people to take me on motorcycle rides and burn the junk mail in the firepit. I'll go to the drive~in. I'll finish projects. I'll enjoy the sun and the fresh air and the people I love.

Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, it is measured in the moments that take your breath away...
Honestly, I would hope to go somewhere out of the ordinary. Maybe a walk at Formar Nature Preserve, or Armada on an early Sunday morning for the flea market. Maybe walk the streets of Frankenmuth. Something that neither of us do often, so we can both explore something together ~ have fun!
