About Me
So, you want to know a little bit about me, eh? There's quite a lot to tell, but I'll try to keep it short. As far as what I like doing in my free time, I really enjoy music and all types of art (including TV and cinema, which is as much an addiction as any drug could ever be), and trying to explore myself through my writing. Even though it's frightening to put so much effort in to putting together a poem, a short story, or anything else, there's no way to express the feeling I get when I'm finally done with a work and can feel confident in sharing it with the world. Thus, I hope to one day be good enough at my craft that people can find entertainment, hope, inspiration, and anything else out of my writing. Outside of that, I hope to enjoy a simple, peaceful life surrounded by friends and family, all while madly in love with someone willing to support me even when I get horribly down on myself. I don't know how much of me is unique, but I know I possess a few (unfortunately) rare talents...for example, if you're on the verge of a mental breakdown, yet trying desperately to hide it from me, I'll probably pick up on it. I won't confront you, but I'll definitely go out of my way to cheer you up or help you however I can. That self-sacrificing nature of mine gets me in a lot of trouble, but at least I can take solace in the fact that I made someone's life a little easier. I can appreciate almost any style of music, but the genres I like most are rock, blues, classical, progressive, and a few styles of electronic music. I'm not the one you'll meet on the dance floor, but you'll probably see me in a corner somewhere with my eyes closed and tapping the beat on whatever's close to me.
First Date
The perfect first date would start with a good meal. Nothing too romantic or expensive, but nothing that's going to put us in a diabetic coma 2 hours after we eat. Just something to give us some energy for the night ahead and the chance to have a good talk. After that, a (hopefully) great movie is just the thing to give us a break from talking and enjoy something together. Maybe a romantic comedy (don't blame me if I cry at the end, heh...), some action-packed adventure story, or a bone-chilling horror to get our hearts racing. I'm a bit of a night-owl, so the next stop on our date would be somewhere with a view where we can just sit on the hood of the car, soak in the beautiful night, and talk about anything and everything.
