First of all...I am a one woman man. I have a positive attitude, am spontaneous, like to joke around, love to be around friends and would do anything for a good woman when I am involved with her. I am not perfect which I feel none of us are and I don't expect you to be.

I was born in Vienna, Austria. We were so poor in my youth that we could not afford the 12 day freighter ship trip to the US. We had a church sponser us and pay for our way to the US. At Christmas I still remember, we used to receive used toys from goodwill. This is indeed the greatest country in the world. Not having much in my childhood is what has made me ambitous and hard working like I am for the most part.

I have worked in factories and offices over the years. I guess you could say I am a "light blue" collar worker. Now I have owned my business since I was 23. I do like to get comfortable in sweats around the house and jeans too. I enjoy a variety of interests. I try to exercise at least 4-5 times a week. I have a nice gym in my lower level which makes it convenient. I try to take reasonably good care of my health without going to extremes. I am 6'2" tall and weigh around 195 lbs.

One of my hobbies is collecting a big variety of movies. I have a large 10 foot high definition screen that I have been told is better than being at the theatre. So if you like to watch movies....I probably have a lot of your favorites and then some in my collection of around 500 high definition movies. I also like watching the History channel and many of their series like "The Universe" and many more. The Daily Show with John Stewart is one of my very favorites shows..he is so funny! I am always curious about what is happening in the rest of the world as I am here in the US. So I check into CNN, Foxnews etc occasionally and make sure I don't just look at one web site or channel to get a balanced outlook on things. I also occasionally like to play certain video games. I like to listen to music and have about 27 speakers total around my house. I like most types of music...depending on the mood and the lady I am with.

I love all kinds of animals! I don't have any pets at this time...but I will when I retire in 2-5 years. I like heading to Chicago or St Joe a few times a year especially in the warmer weather.

If you like to be around water...I have a unique lined pond/swimming pool (2400 sq feet) and waterfall that I designed and landscaped a lot of it. It's all in my small 90 x 90 back yard in a nice residential neigborhood on the southeast side of Elkhart. Would you believe when I bought my house in 1992, my yard was a big open lawn with no plants,water or fence around it? My pond has about 40,000 gallons of water in it. It took 35 truck loads of dirt to be removed to make it.

I am a social person otherwise I wouldn't have been able to own my furniture store all these years. I enjoy being around family but unfortunately they all live hundreds or thousands of miles away. My sweetheart daughter Heather lives in Virginia. Two older brothers and two younger half sisters live even farther away. Which reminds me....I would love to travel occasionally with a nice lady once we get to know each other. I am open to any new ideas or interests you may have. No need for all our interests to be the same. We can expand our minds and interests by sharing our differences. I like to dance and have been told that I move well to music. I sincerely enjoy pampering a woman. I guess you could say I am from the old school....opening your doors, holding hands occasionally, giving you back rub once in while if you are tensed up. Once we become close...spoonin' when we sleep. I also like laying in the hot tub outside and getting the muscles massaged by the jets in the middle of winter when snow is all around the hot tub! I don't care if the woman I meet is rich or poor.....as long as she has a sincere, kind heart. But it would be nice that you are also somewhat health conscious and don't smoke all the time. Also..sorry I won't respond if you don't have a picture or two of yourself. My pics were taken within three years ago. You would recognize me immediately because I look almost exactly the same.

I feel if I meet someone that is more than around 35 miles from Elkhart, Indiana..it would be difficult to develope a relationship. Depending on who the first date is.....I would most likely take you to a nice restaurant one that has the kind of food you like. Unless of course you prefer something less formal. Then depending on how it goes and the time and day of week..maybe find a nice club and listen to a band or go home and watch a good movie. Or...I would take you directly home which you hopefully won't want!
