You know, I first posted this profile in mid-July without really having a sense of who I would hope to meet from this site. I mean, friends at basic, but then, I have asked myself, what type of friends would best integrate into my life at this time? What could I offer them? Would chemistry arise at some point - and should I even consider this much, or would it put too much pressure on a situation? If I feel a certain way, should I express it immediately or would that be 'scary' for the other person? Oh my head hurts with all these questions.

I still stand behind my intent for joining this site (as before):

I have a handful of close, fantastic, but straight girlfriends and a few who are not so straight... I would love to meet more of you of the latter sort. I prefer not to place any expectation upon meeting - as such I'm open to connecting with open minded women (read: have thought critically about your life), who have something to say. If this still comes across as ambiguous, what I mean to suggest is, let's get to know each other on a platonic basis, let's share stories and interests, and see how life progresses from there.

As well as how I see myself (I feel I have a pretty good grasp on this!):

I'm a happy and playful, perhaps a little bit charming, warm, adventurous girl with an endlessly curious mind. I am easily charmed by those with a romantic mind (romantic has various meanings) and a love of conversation... and who, at heart and in practice, take life slowly and steadily... because I can provide the counter-balance to that, with imagination and spontaneity. Come as you are, because I try not to judge but rather, to understand... having lived and traveled around the world, it's really the only way forward.

But I have to admit that I've had second thoughts about a sense of humour when it comes to friends - yes, I love to laugh as do most of us, but if I look at my own posting, you'd be hard pressed to find humour in it... it's a bit more sweet than sassy... And so as a person who may think she's funnier than she actually is, I'll have to say again, when it comes to a sense of humour, your ability to laugh at yourself and in general, your positive and relaxed outlook on life would be most welcome. This, and if you find Graham Norton to be camp, sometimes a tad too filthy but you still cry with laughter, we may just share a giggle.

...I've been doing a mediocre job at replying notes on here... however ironically I've managed to update this profile. I suppose all I can say is that if I sense that we're approaching each other from the same page, I try to make a decent effort. Otherwise, I feel that in time, we'll all find our natural places in an amongst each other on here.
