About Me
I’m somewhat old fashioned in the sense that my upbringing had a strong emphasis on character. At the time, as I recall, it was bothersome for me. Come on… all that thinking of the other persons feelings, being considerate, telling the truth, having loyalty, being patient (that was a good one), having a strong work ethic, being respectful, and honest, etc. etc. And now, the values that I eventually came to appreciate and embrace seem to actually be important in life after all. Who knew?
It’s true, I’m not perfect, and I haven’t always been the perfect angel (like I am these days; wink). Specifically, These are some of my finer points: I’m about 99 and 44/100% truthful. I think that’s about as truthful as Ivory soap is pure; not bad anyway. I’m very honest, and I can utter the words, “I don’t know.” I’m loyal, and I don’t have a short memory for those people who have taught me things, throughout my lifetime. I think it’s healthy to be appreciative and grateful. I am not unusually religious, but I do believe in God.
If you want to appreciate your life a little more fully, pause for a moment to thank God for all the things you don’t have and don’t want. Sometimes, we forget how fortunate we are. I try not to. I am not afraid to work hard, and I do. Yes, I know... I TRY to work smart, but sometimes that’s easier said than done (ha-ha). Which brings me to my next point. I’m really pretty humble. I’m good at lots of things, but I’m not the best at anything. I am extremely quietly confident, if that makes sense. Trust me, I’m good to have around if the junk hits the fan. I’d pull you through the fires of hell if you needed a friend, and I wouldn’t stop until I’d pulled you right out the other side.
I will love you with your flaws, and all the more deeply because of them. I am respectful toward others unless they are insolent, in which case I tend to avoid them. I want to share life’s experiences with someone special, but I also believe that couples should be able to provide encouragement and emotional support for one another’s separate interests, as well. I think I’m romantic, but you’ll have the final word on the subject. I laugh often, and I think I’m funny, but again, you’ll have to be the judge (please note: I’m not trying to be funny now). I want honest friendship and meaningful intimacy. I find animals are much easier to love and trust, than are most people. I love dogs, and I miss mine (over the “Rainbow Bridge” they went). They changed me, much for the better. I believe that we are not meant to be alone in the world, and that our innate sense of this undeniable truth brings us together, such as we are right now, and maybe if we’re both fortunate enough, it will bring us face-to-face.
About you: I’m searching for a woman who will care enough about me to encourage me to grow beyond my present depth of understanding and needless limitations in relation to the things that I enjoy and am passionate about (especially her). I’m in search of a woman with whom doing new things would be fun and exciting; someone talented, and cute enough to persuade me out of my comfort zones. A woman for whom meaningful intimacy becomes a passionate expression, elevated through commitment and trust. I am looking for a woman for whom this passion is the very breath of love, a secret to our success as a couple, one of our most important bonds. Maybe it’s the Italian in me. "Through love, all things are possible.
