I was born in Brooklyn, spent 10 years in Buenos Aires (so I have an Argentine accent) and now I live in Rego Park, I love my apartment plus the commute to midtown usually is a breeze… even so, I hope to move to the city in a few years… or some random European city, but depends on the day of the week…
I've climbed the Great Wall of China, been to the pyramids and scuba dived in the South China Sea, and been attacked by hookers in Barcelona… I have a travel addiction; I’m the kind of guy who takes on an almost monthly basis, weekend trips to Europe (especially Barcelona)… I just love to travel, explore new cultures and countries and work towards my goal of visiting 50-100 countries by the time I'm 30... I’ve been overseas about 10 times this year and have another 3 international trips on my 2009 calendar… I started to fall in love with certain cities, such as Barcelona and I can usually be found either on a plane or planning a trip... since I fly so much, I usually get upgraded for free and enjoy the airport lounges before my flight :)
In my free time.. I enjoy exploring the city, working out in the gym, volunteering... gotta emphasize that point.. I really enjoy mentoring, especially high school students, since some simple advice can help them grow both professionally and as an individual. I'm also thinking about doing some other professional organizations to volunteer a bit more... but I don't have that much time...
It's either hilarious or sad, but I really have a travel addiction... I usually catch a flight on Thursday or Friday night and fly 6+ hours just to visit a new city... This is actually a normal two months for me : Rio de Janeiro for a weekend, another weekend in Puerto Rico, Halloween in Andorra/Barcelona,planning to spend Thanksgiving in Paris and then X-mas & New Year's in Buenos Aires, Argentina... as you can tell flying and traveling is my main hobby, you gotta travel when you are young, if you are afraid of flying or don't have an adventurous personality, i doubt we would have any chemistry.... the fun thing is I also get to upgrade friends on some of my flights, so no need to fly middle seat in the back of the plane..
I decided to embark in a round the world trip... for the next 5 months, I will be basically traveling most of the time exploring new cultures and countries...
Argentina and Spain in January
Brazil for Carnaval (Rio de Janeiro) and then maybe a few at Ilha Grande or Paraty
then in March/April I embark on a mad adventure... I start in Hong Kong, spend a few days there , then head to Vietnam , make my way down the coast to Ho Chi Minh (Saigon), cross into Cambodia, do Angor Wat and then head to Bangkok, hit the Thai beaches, then cross the ocean to Jordan, visit Petra and all those sites, then after that I head to Greece, check out some of the Islands, then hit Budapest for a few days on my way to Poland, visit some friends and family, probably hit Prague and then a day or two in Helsinki and back to the states... basically 47 odd days of traveling around the world...
after that, May will be a quiet month with just two weekend trips planned to Peru, to explore the Rain forest and then Lake Titicaca...
as you can tell, I love to travel...
perhaps a drink at a pub in the East Village? also rooftop bars are a great place to meet up and get to know each other...
or with my travel patterns.. Paris, Barcelona, Rio? pick a city :)
