I could wax romantically here about what love and relationships mean to me: They're about connecting, being generous in spirit and affection, doing things for each other, and ultimately forging a partnership that is balanced. But it's what all we want, right? It's just how you wear it.

I like movies, plays and music. I do not camp (but like a nice lodge). I read voraciously when I have the time. I love a good debate, not to be confused with an argument. I love the heady joy of a good discussion with someone who can hold her own and give as good as she gets. Emotionally, I'm open. Physically, I'm passionate. Mentally, I'm impaired. Ack! I mean inspired.

Mostly, I like to play fair. Let's skip past the cliches about long walks on the beach (sand between the toes, or worse) on moonlit nights and a comfy fire in the rain (I do like that) and go right to the things that make us tick, which make us special, which draws us toward each other, like birds taking different, long routes to reach the same destination, all on trust, tradition and a sense of knowing where one belongs and where one is going.

Oh, and a nice pair of legs is always a nice bonus. I am a man, after all, visceral and visual---just not all the time!

Bonus facts: I'm employed! Not to be overlooked these days. I'm healthy. I'm not wealthy (sorry) but live well. I have a great 18-year-old son who has a wonderful mother and doesn't need a new one. I love short travel getaways.
