Livin to me is a road trip and the Subaru is full of the camping gear. Pokin around out west. Stops to watch trains go by, or browse a junk store, visit the historical and geographical sites, mix in a solid hike and end up in some remote spot to watch the day dissolve..........
Or maybe a cabin on a lake somewhere.
I really enjoy live music.
I collect records, among other things, and my tastes run from Doo Wop to Dylan, from the Beatles to 70's soul....
I'm also a frustrated singer/songwriter in need of better practice habits.

The road trip gets one away from the homogenized America of malls and traffic. One can still find the culture and character of places in its junk stores and local diners; its geography and small museums. It's a bowl of green chilies in New Mexico or finding a Buddy Holly record near Lubbock. It's breaking timberline in Colorado and hearing the raucous call of a Clarks Nutcracker.
I'm looking forward to retiring in a few years. Yes, I'd like to take a Spanish course in Mexico. And yes I'd like to take a writing course - among other things. But mostly I think about getting a camper and seeing the country.
Other interests include: reading, birdwatching, movies, baseball and College football
