11/27/09 - some updates!! First thing...Timberlake is just north of Durham, south of Roxboro. I am looking to find my partner in crime....someone who is family oriented, easy-going, down to earth, with a sense of humor. I enjoy life to the fullest, appreciating all the little things every day. I'm not high maintenance or into drama....not one to cake on the makeup or spray my hair into submission....don't even own lipstick (icky!! LOL) Don't get me wrong, I clean up good....enjoy getting dressed up...love my heels...but spend most of my life in jeans/shorts and tops. I enjoy music....classic rock, country, etc. Enjoy being outside when the weather is warm....camping, fishing, kayaking, gardening, cook-outs, anything to do with water. I love to "debate", not argue, and I have a sassy(sarcastic?) sense of humor....always picking and teasing. I'm very loyal and will do anything for my family and friends. I'm very affectionate and loving, open -minded, intelligent, optomistic, young at heart and active. I need a best friend who can hang with me! No offense, but.....I don't want a couch potato, or a grumpy old man, or someone who thinks of themself as "too old for...???" ...I'm still very active and require the same. One more thing, to explain one of the options they give you to chose from....." doesn't want kids"....I am definitely not having more but if you come with kids, I have absolutely no problem with that...I still have a 12 yo son at home. He's a great kid....good grades, very mature, gives me no problems. I also have a grown daughter, married with 3 kids...they only live about 4 miles away so I get to see them often. I love dogs, cats, horses....love birds outside (not in the house)...and I definitely do not want any type of reptile in the house....ok, maybe a turtle...but no snakes, spiders, or lizards, please! LOL! To answer some questions I have been asked: Yes, I am a smoker but am trying to quit and would love to have someone to support that. I have no problem with drinking a few, catching a buzz, partying some....but, I could live the rest of my life without ever drinking again and it wouldn't bother me. However, on that note, I do not want to be with someone who "has" to drink every night (whether or not you get sloshed!)....that is alcoholism, I don't care how you look at it. To better describe who I'm looking for....I'm open and attracted to many types of men as far as looks go....guess main thing is that I like taller men...or at least taller than I am! Superficial, I know, but it is how I feel. Body size?....just not obese....you might squash me! LOL! To mesh with my life I need someone who is a homebody during the week because of school and work. The weekends can be spent at home or out having adventures...depending on weather, etc. My house if usually full of kids on the weekends with my sons' friends and the grandkids, so hopefully my "someone" would be able to enjoy the kids with me instead of just tolorate them. I guess to sum it up I enjoy my solitude but I am more than ready to find someone to mesh our lives together and share whatever the future brings. Please, if you have read this far, and are still interested, take it a step further and send me an email...what can it hurt?

On a first "date", I like to keep it simple with no pressure, usually just a short meeting so nobody is obligated if it doesn't click....if it does, the meeting can always be extended to a date.
