About Me
As a twice transplanted Jersey girl, once to Cincinnati, second to Syracuse, I have loved each place I have lived. An artist at heart, when time permits, I sculpt. But I really love being active, whether it be climbing a mountain, sailing a sea, skiing, or gardening. If dreams could come true, I would climb Mt. Everest and sail around the world. Or fly into Alaska and visit Antarctica. Entertaining friends & family and filling a home with laughter. Hiking!! Why do I do it? If you have to ask, then you probably have never experienced the exhilaration of climbing a 12,000' (or 5,000') peak! I have hiked the Adirondacks, Whites, Tetons, Wind Rivers, Sierras. I have sailed & scuba dived in the BVIs, Cozumel, John Pennecamp. I have had my art placed in a museum. I have canoed the Fulton Chain of Lakes. I have flown a helicopter and landed a plane. I have parasailed, ballooned, & glided. I have marched across & been trapped in a beaver dam in the middle of winter. I have met up with a bear on a mountain trail. My tastes in music are eclectic. From classical music to hip hop. I have even gone to rap concerts with my sons (not my favorite genre!)I love the symphony, opera, ballet, pops, jazz, alternative. But not a big fan of rock. (It's that funny?) Volunteering and helping others; I am on the Board of a non-profit organization that raises scholarship money. I am a Boy Scout Leader. (They made me walk across that beaver dam!) I sing in 2 choirs. I was in an opera last year. (Tons of fun!) I took care of my mother when she was no longer able to do so herself. I felt blessed to be able to care for her, spend time with her, and really get to know her before she left me. She was the nicest person I have ever known. My current status is a student, having gone back to school to finish a degree. My studies have been awesome but have totally consumed me! I hope to be finished the end of this semester though. I am almost always happy and have a smile on my face. I wake up happy. Don't understand why some people are grumpy in the morning (or afternoon or evening)! (To be truthful though...I can have moments of sadness...) But a photographer friend told me that my heart smiles and it shows on my face! What do I want in a man? Are there any kind, ingenuous, men available who love to live life?
First Date
Walk through a beautiful park where we could talk. Perhaps there would be gardens, or a waterfall, or a lake, or a ridge to climb with a spectacular view! And perhaps we could then continue on to a charming little restaurant. Or....go on a lake cruise Or....a picnic in a park Or....an old country inn overlooking the water Have you figured out I'm a water sign by now?
