I am a country guy, who has traveled extensively, and lived in several large cities, both abroad, and in the U.S., but, I enjoy the U.P. of Michigan, and country life most of all. I am a non-hunter, animal lover, peace orientated, leftie! My politics are very liberal socially, but fiscally conservative. Now, I'm not cheap, just not material. I believe the most important things in life are: inner peace, a roof over my head, and food on the table. And, the two most powerful words are: "Peace and Love". I own my own home, a log cabin on forty acres. I live with my cat, whom I dearly love. I care a great deal about the environment, world hunger, world peace, injustice, and animal rights. I am wowed by intelligence. I am non-religious, but do meditate daily. I believe the dictionary is a great book! Looking to find a friend who is caring, compassionate, cute, soft spoken, and who can carry on an intelligent conversation without an "i seen", or, "him and me", and who knows where the shift key is to put a capital letter where it belongs. If it's summer, and it falls on a weekend (U.P. humor?), I would take my date on a hike, and picnic, enjoying nature and a PB&J sandwich and a glass of wine. But, in reality, a first date should probably be a meeting in a public place, maybe a cup of coffee, and conversation, without commitment. Expectations are OK.
