This summer has been the season of discovery for me. Who knew I'd fall in love with hiking at the age of 43? I've also gained some very deep insight into who I had been and who I'm striving to be.

I've been the insufferable 'nice guy' my whole life. Always trying to fix every situation to avoid conflict. I've done this to the point of putting my own needs on the back burner and not understanding why I couldn't find a sense of presence or passion in my past relationships. My eyes are so wide open to this now. Not that I plan on being a jerk. That's not what it's all about. It's kind of hard to explain in an online profile. If you knew me, you'd know where this is coming from. Believe me. It's a very positive thing.

Let’s face it. We’re all here looking for the same thing. We want to meet and be with someone that makes our heart skip a beat at the slightest touch or just being near them. And of course wouldn’t it be awesome if they felt the same way about us?

Everyone has different likes and dislikes. I want to experience someone special. I don’t really care what it is we do as long as we do it together. With the right person by my side, even the most mundane tasks can be enjoyable. Let’s have fun together when things go right. Let’s comfort each other when things go wrong. Let’s love each other and be in love with each other no matter what life throws our way. I know that someone is out there. I’m willing to take my time finding her.
