About Me
Profile edited 19th November 2009. I'm a "one gal guy" and I'm "off the menu" since I found my new partner here on POF.
I'm a steady sort of chap, I love a joke and a laugh, kisses and cuddles, saucy smiles and winks, fun and friends.
I enjoy photography and messing with computers, combine the two and I'm in heaven.
I like most kinds of music but especially rock, blues, 60s-70s (some)jazz and (most)classical(not opera).
I'm not a sports fan although I study Aikido - the only peaceful martial art, which sounds contradictory, but isn't.
I like to watch films, either in a cinema or on DVD. I have 4 cats, no, that's wrong, cats don't have owners, they have staff.
My work made finding new friends really difficult. So I joined POF, and it worked!
I have often been told that I'm way too honest for my own good but, as I see it, either you are honest, or you aren't. So, I'll tell you that I'm not "6-pack fit", and the "few" pounds is more like "several". But, at least I'm healthy ( "all my own teeth, and everything working" - LOL). Like most people who are into photography there are few pictures of me (wrong side of camera), so I took a new one ... just for you folks.
I absolutely refused to accept that only the man could make first contact, equality rocks in my book. My new partner messaged me on here and the rest is history. I'll always respond to a reasonable message, and sometimes to a borderline unreasonable one. If it helps you; "saucy" or "cheeky" are reasonable, rude or crude certainly aren't. Please remember though, I am dating someone, so messages are strictly for chat only. Last thing, why "Swansdown"? Because it's snuggly, and warm, ... and so am I.
First Date
What to do on a first date? Let me see .... possibilities .... OK ....
1) My "Sensible" approach: A first meeting on public neutral ground, say a pub or restaurant is safest and most comfortable for the lady, and is also good for a first "get to know you". How would it go from there? Well, although I went for "long term" don't be in a rush. You have to start every journey with a single footstep. Let things happen in their own time.
2) Or, perhaps something crazy and new: How about indoor skydiving? Yes, you can, just north of Bedford. And it looks like fun! 3) Comedy section: You never know, on "plenty of fish" I found my "sole" mate. And, that was bad, I know. I'll leave it there and go sing some fishy songs like "Salmon chanted evening", or perhaps "There's a Plaice for us" .... "Mullet Kintyre" maybe .... "Cod only knows" ?
Awww Ssssomebody sssstop me!
