About Me
I love watching really old movies(TCM movies) and also fast-paced movies such as "Eagle Eye." Sad movies are okay once in a while, but I like humorous movies such as "The Great Outdoors", "Who's Harry Crumb?", and then jumping to mysteries such as "The Mothman Prophecies", and "Midnight In The Garden Of Good And Evil."
I like to listen to music depending on my mood or if I want to change my mood. Sara Vaughn, Dina Washington, Etta James, Jimmi Hendrix, Buddy Guy,Susan Tedeschi, Eva Cassidy, Newsboys, Point of Grace, Nicole Mullen, Aretha Franklin, any musical soundtrack, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Styx, Journey, Stanley Jordan's version of "Stairway To Heaven." Also Imalda May(rockabilly) I have now ridden on a Harley, and am anxiously awaiting more rides, and am learning about the different kinds of Harleys, and now would like one of my own. I have never ridden a real horse, only an iron horse, so that is also a must. I would love for someone to teach me or show me things that they have found to be interesting(but still safe). I have struggled growing up the only left-handed person in my family, and was happy that 2 of my 3 kids are left-handed. After all, left handed people are in their "right" mind. I believe in putting others' needs first, and I enjoy taking care of people to make them happy, such as cooking a meal, helping them out in some way to make their day better, and my most favorite comfort to others is to make them laugh. God is a necessity in my life, and after that comes my family, chocolate, and friends. Yes, chocolate can often out rank a friend. Depends on the friend, of course. I love to quote the phrase, "Good Things Come To Those Who Wait," but I do not always practice that motto. I am a variety of geneaology, such as Scottish, German and English. Yes, stubborn and independent are often adjectives used to describe me, but somehow I was also born with the sensitive gene.
Goals: 1. Learning to love again or on the other hand, when things get too intense, as Lady Chablis states in the movie of "Midnight In The Garden of Good and Evil": 'Two Tears In A Bucket, MotherF*** It. I am not prone to using the "F" word, but I didn't want to misquote from the movie.
2. Getting my own Harley(once I can handle one, had a motorcycle accident while in training, but don't worry, it was only a Honda Rebel!)
3. Riding a horse
4. Getting to go on a small weekend trip with someone.
6. Going to another Cardinals game
7. Making some new friends
8. Finding someone to love, and hope that they will love me back.
9. Meet someone that may like chocolate as much as I do, or would be willing to keep me satisfied in chocolate.
10. Finding good bands to listen to, such as rhythm & blues and southern rock.
11. Most importantly, laugh, laugh, and laugh even more than I ever have before, and it must be with someone and not just laughing at myself, although that is good to do sometimes.
First Date
I think that going to a public event such as a Cardinals game, going to listen to a band, a demolition derby or attending a carnival would be good. I love sitting by campfire, or a fireplae. The first few dates - Keep it light, see what it feels like to be with this person in a public place, and see what else they like to do for fun and ask them what makes them laugh, what makes them sad, and what qualities in a person would they consider appealing.
