I am looking for someone who really knows himself, both the secure and insecure parts of self, and is willing to share them. In general, I am seeking someone who feels good about who he is as a person, has worked through most of the crap from the past, can see it for what it is, and step beyond it, without blaming others or circumstances. He MUST be a good communicator, a talker, a feeler and sharer (and of course a good listener). Sensitivity is a must. He must be able to say what’s on his mind and unafraid of boundaries (for himself and in relationship). To thine own self, be true.

I’ve had my share of drama, so I prefer very little at this point in my life. I am seeking serenity, calmness, stability, and mindfulness. In life there will continue to be rough waters and storms, but my boat is strong, I know, because I built it myself. However, I don't want to sit alone in this boat I built any longer. I've been rowing it alone for quite some time, and am getting tired (I'm not 20 any more, you know?). So, I was wondering if anyone out there would like to join me and help me row? Hey, we can navigate together!

Life is a journey, sometimes scary, sometimes blissful. Both parts are what keep us alive, for without one, the other cannot exist. I am thankful for all that I have, and the people with whom I have shared the journey with thus far. I believe the key to happiness is to be humble and grateful for all that we have, as opposed to what we do not have.

People often speak of politics, but I hesitate to share, because, really, what IS an opinion? We are bombarded with information through various media sources. None of us really know the complete truth, and I refuse to get on any band wagon. So...am I liberal... conservative? The answer is 'yes.' It really depends on the particular issue.

I love who I am and how I am evolving, so please do not try and change me. Just your being with me will create change without trying. Likewise, you are who you are.

I seek that which I give: Kindness, Respect, Courtesy, Attention, Appreciation, and Affection (with plenty of good humor). I am not perfect and I don't expect you to be either.

I enjoy hiking in the mountains, and walks on the beach. I love running, swimming, writing, painting. I love watching good movies that make me laugh, cry or make me think. I love traveling, going to the theater, symphony, and other music venues.
I am an adventurer and a seeker of truth. I like to read about Buddhism, Hinduism and other faiths/philosphies. I tend to lean toward the Buddhist philosophy. I have a high energy and pretty positive attitude about life. I am happy most of the time and I like others to be happy, too. I am a helper and connector. Also am an animal lover and have a compassionate nature.

First dates in my opinion should be someplace simple...maybe meet at a coffee shop. That way we can see how it goes, and not feel locked in...and then we can decide if we hit it off.
