I’m going to give this essay thing another go…. Hi, my name is Maria. I’m Hispanic, Native American and Irish. I’m 46 and pretty happy with who I am. I’m an independent, hard working, intelligent and sh*tfunny (according to my daughter) woman. I am happy and face each day with a smile. Life has knocked me on my butt a few times but I get up, dust off and keep moving forward. I would be ecstatic to meet someone who wants to share time with me and who wants to take the time to get to know me. I have traveled all over and have done lots of interesting things. I’ve been divorced for 8 years and would love to meet my special someone. I don’t need a man to take care of me, I need one to be my partner and my love.
I am not really interested in chat and email exchanges that last for months on end. If I could meet people the old fashion way, I would. But, alas, the internet seems to be the way it is now days. I tend to want to meet after emailing and a few phone calls. I figure if we are going to see whether we have anything in common or even any chemistry, you need to find it out in person and not during an email.
So…. If you take the time to actually read this, say hello. Even if it’s to say you hate my essay. lol

One last thing... don't let the hair color scare you into thinking that I'm old. lol It's hereditary. I starting turning this color when I was 14. :)

hmmm, a first date..... always a challenge are first dates. Going out to dinner at a nice, quiet place is always nice. Or even out to a bar for a drink and a game of pool. I even have my own pool cue. Although I'm not very good. lol A lazy canoe ride down the river would be nice too. I'm open to any and all of this. Or anything else that might come to mind.
