I enjoy many things...running to keep in shape, kayaking, biking (very recreationally!), festivals, live music in the park, theater, watching movies over tv. I also like volunteering, which is part of my aspirations in life: to be the best person I can be, someone who makes a difference in the world. Someday, I might want to be a foster mom. I enjoy volunteering with kids, especially.

I can sometimes say things before I really think them through; I am straightforward, honest, conservative in some ways, liberal in others. I love being around people, and large groups. I am not afraid to try something new! I am, however, afraid of insects, so you need to be able to kill them for me. ;)

I like various types of live music, from jazz to rock. I guess I should say what I don't care for: rap, pretty much anything where I can't understand what the singer is saying, anything degrading, and weird or depressing music.

Let me add: I want my mate to have a relationship with God. You don't have to be super religious, but spiritual. I have been a Christian my whole life, and want to share that with someone. I also want kids. If you have no interest in having children, we would not be a good match. One more thing: you have to have a job (this should be a no-brainer, but I just want to make sure!)

For the first 'meet' (how can it be a date?), I would like to meet for a drink to see how things go. If feelings are mutual, for a second date, I'd like to go do something fun like Bulwinkles, playing pool, or disc golf.
