Hello,
So I am a sailor. What does that mean? I work on research vessels for the US govt. I get time off in large blocks and sometimes spend up to 3 months at sea. I travel more than most people and get to see things most only dream about. The sea can show you such beautiful things, it can also be a very scary place. I don't swim, but the ship is on the water so thats ok.
When I am on land I go on backpacking trips along the Delaware River, and Upstate NY mainly but I am willing to try any old place as long a good walk is involved. I work out everyday, mainly because after work there is little else to do.
When I get home from a long trip I like to sleep and stay in bed for the first couple of days, than I might bake bread or some bagels but I always make dinner for myself and some friends, we have a steward out here so we are not allowed to use the kitchen. I also have season tickets to the metropolitian opera and try to see at least one show a month. Mostly my brothers get to use the tickets but I don't mind. It's good to be able to see a show when I am home. I have to mention that I come from a large family, I have 9 brothers and 2 sisters for a total of 12 children. There are many stories.
