I am very outgoing and independent. I like to be contrary just for the hell of it. I refuse to conform to anything, whether it be fashion, educational bureaucracies and institutional protocols, or gender roles expected of women. I love to be acknowledged for my brilliance, and I love interacting with people who are just as unconventional as I am. I don't hold grudges, and I am a seeker of truth. Though I am strong willed, I am honest enough to change my opinion or acknowledge when I have made a mistake ... if enough evidence is brought to light. :)

I am logical and lucid. And sometimes, I feel like I live in a world of ideas. A friend once told me that though my writing is eloquent and flawless, there is not enough emotion in it. Which is funny, considering that in times of crisis, I am nothing but emotional.

I love exotic flowers, especially lilies and freesia.

I am a lover of penguins, all shapes and sizes, stuffed, animated, live etc.

I love literature, laughing, good 80s music (oh wait.... it's all good!)... and creme brulee. I love dancing in front of the mirror and dancing for my men. I love every student I teach [even the clowns and chameleons (did you get that reference? good... keep reading...)] I'm into politics, ridding the world of illiteracy, cigarettes, bigots, and racists (a life-time crusade), hanging with friends, a good game of Boggle or Scrabble, writing my heart out in poetry... and being inspired by movies and beautiful lyrics.

I am currently teaching English to 7th and 8th grade Americans. :)~ I want to write my book of poetry, but the damn hard drive crashed with no backups and now I have to start all over... That might be a good thing.

I'm really good at breaking down illogical arguments, smiling sexily, playing coy, and making your heart melt. :)

The first things people usually notice about me are my smile, my energy, and my exoticness.

The six things I could never do without are my Mac, my phone, mascara and eyeshadow, Starbucks's White Mocha, books, and my friends.

I spend a lot time thinking about my students, the unfairness of demographics, my future, my brother, and how I'm ever going to get all this paperwork done.

But here's the caveat: You should be a straight man between the ages of 28-35. You must at least be college educated, have a solid handle on grammar and punctuation, not be overly zealous about religion, and be tolerant of other beliefs, races, and cultures. You must be willing to date, and potentially have a relationship. No booty calls, please. You must have never been married before, and have no kids. You must also be willing to be challenged and be challenging. Looks are not a must, but handsomeness/hotness will give you brownie points. :)

I really don't think what you do is as important as who you are with. (It is important to say who I'll do, but that's another box in of itself.) I'm up for anything from dinner/movie to climbing trees and singing in the rain. (I do sing horribly but it's practice for singing in the shower. Heck, maybe we can do that together. :) We can also do something like go for a drive/walk or catch a musical. I still need to see Guys and Dolls. I'm up for sitting at a coffee shop and discussing everything from pop culture to classical literature to society's woes. I also enjoy taking in exceptional museum exhibits and a concert.
