My hobbies include walking/biking/hiking/camping out in nature, playing music via guitar or any instrument, skateboarding of 22 yrs, studying and doing advanced mathematics, and making art of all kinds. My current goals are to complete a phd in mathematics to do research and teach for a profession. I would also like to find some one I can share, learn from, and grow with, and of course have fun with. I am new to this internet dating thing and am skeptical, but I am tired of trying to meet people in the typical places because this results in some thing of no substance. I have lived 18 yrs in Springfield, MO (where I was born), 2 yrs in San Jose, CA, 3 yrs in SF, CA, 7 yrs in LA, and finally 2 back in Spfd (to help with a sick family member) and then here in Columbia for one year. As far a music is concerned, I like (and can appreciate even those I don't like) almost all forms of music.

For a first date, it would be fun to go some where like the A-frame out on the Missouri River then maybe a walk along it, then possibly some kind of goodie like ice cream or something. I would also be up for any suggestion of some else to do. Maybe a bike ride and a light meal, maybe swimming in a good creek spot, a good walk, etc.
