About Me
I am newly single and enjoying all that life has to offer. I enjoy the arts, outdoors and good music....I love to travel and would love to see more of the world... I have a passion for volunteerism and supporting my community in any way I can....I have a fine arts background so can appericate good art and theater... I love to laugh... whether it is at a good movie or out with great friends sharing stories....Trust is the most important thing I must have in a relationship.... although sounds easy it is actually very hard to acquire...
TRUST has 7 steps to build: 1) Talk straight to people 2) Listen for understanding 3) Make commitments 4) Honour your commitments 5) Steps 1-4 develops reliability 6) Reliability develops respect 7) Respect builds trust Sounds easy enough, right? But it takes time to build these steps... I am looking for someone that wants to take these steps with me... to have complete TRUST and RESPECT for each other.. no game playing or childish behavior... looking for that one mature relationship that will make us both feel safe and secure in our lives together...
Some very unique "Pick Up Lines" that I have recieved thus far... I have to say they are very cheesy but made me laugh.. and if you can make me laugh than you are already off to a good start...
1) All this could be yours for one low,low price! 2) Are you a Tamale?? Cause you're hot!! 3) Baby, somebody better call God,cuz he is missing an angel 4) You must be a broom.... cause you have just swept me away! 5) Coffee? Tea? Me?? and my personal favorite..... 6) Got Me?? I'll do your body good!!
How Do You Live Your Dash?
I read of a man who stood to speak at the funeral of a friend. He referred to the dates on her tombstone from the beginning…to the end. He noted that first came her date of birth And spoke the following date with tears. But he said what matters most of all was the dash between the years.
For that dash represents all the time that she spent alive upon earth.. And now only those who loved her know what that little line is worth. For it matters not, how much we own, the cars .. the house..the cash, What matters is how we live and love and how we spend our dash.
So think about this long and hard.. Are there things you’d like to change? For you never know how much time is left, that can still be rearranged. If we could just slow down enough to consider what’s true and real, And always try to understand the way other people feel.
And be less quick to anger, and show appreciation more And love the people in our lives like we’ve never done before. If we treat each other with respect, and more often wear a smile Remembering that this special dash might only last a while.
So when your eulogy’s being read with your life’s action to rehash…. Would you be proud of the things they say About how you spent your dash?
First Date
hmmm.. well guess that would all depend on what we both wanted to do... I am pretty easy going....
