A holy man was having a conversation with God one day and said, 'God, I would like to know what Heaven and Hell are like.' God led the holy man to two doors. He opened one of the doors and the holy man looked in. In the middle of the room was a large round table. In the middle of the table was a large pot of stew, which smelled delicious and made
the holy man's mouth water. The people sitting around the table were thin and sickly. They appeared to be famished. They were holding spoons with very long handles, that were strapped to their arms and each found it possible to reach into the pot of stew and take a spoonful. But because the handle was longer than their arms, they could not get the spoons back into their mouths. The holy man shuddered at the sight of their misery and suffering. God said, 'You have seen Hell.'

They went to the next room and opened the door. It was exactly the same as the first one. There was the large round table with the large pot of stew which made the holy man's mouth water. The people were equipped with the same long-handled spoons, but here the people were well nourished and plump, laughing and talking. The holy man said, 'I don't understand.' 'It is simple,' said God. 'It requires but one skill. You see they have learned to feed each other, while the greedy think only of themselves.'

i don't know all the language in dating sites. i am seeking a partner, who will treat me the way they want treated. i like someone who can be a Lady, and i assure you i am a Gentleman. that does not mean i don't get down~n~dirty and have fun.~-~ it means have some manners and be polite to people.

So, what attracts me? Intelligence is attractive! A great walk, an open smile, a warm heart, a good joke. What else? People who can carry their baggage but who aren't afraid to ask for help when they need it (you'll get it from me!.) alright some more- i think I'm funny. i can crack myself up. i laugh so hard sometimes that i fall down, but i am also serious. i am self employed and have been for 26 years, so i have a reliable and serious side. i enjoy fun things, but i can become serious if the B.S. gets in the way of what is right and what must be.
i seek a woman "near" my own age. maturity in life and perspective are irreplaceable, but i also enjoy a woman who keeps herself in shape. sweetness and kindness are an irreplaceable trait.

O-kay then, update. I do not need a person with a hole in them for me to prove I am capable of filling the hole in their sole. I would absolutely adore a complete, thinking, working, feeling woman ready to explore the possibilities of life with a partner.

one more thing. I do not photograph well. I am really a nice, sweet, smiling kind of guy. I just pose uncomfortably for cameras.

probably dinner, but a show, or movie or walk in park is good. if you are not shy swimming, bicycling, roller skating, a hike to a scenic point. i am flexible...
first dates are important. they don't have to be long or elaborate, but if they become long and elaborate great. the best first date would be one that never ended! if a first date~lasts a lifetime~that is good!
