I am a science teacher, so I like anything outdoors and involving nature. I'm the kind of person who like to hunt for bugs, go to a pond to collect turtles and tadpoles, go fishing and I think you get the picture. Not the typical girly girl. Spending time out on a boat fishing is great so long as it isn't in the ocean - I get sea sick unfortunately. Camping is great and just going for nature walks. I like to do that with my Akita.

I find it hard to really describe myself. I can be brutally honest, sometimes being a little too blunt. Stereotypical redheaded, Italian New Yorker. I like a good joke - the dirtier the better. I can curse like a truck driver so hopefully I won't offend you. I've been told that I can be a smarta** with my sarcasm. It can be funny when I'm a roll. I laugh at myself constantly whenever I do something goofy. That's quite often!

I can be loud or quiet - whatever the situation calls for. Usually I am quiet until I feel comfortable. I'm not the typical girly girl, being most comfortable in jeans and t-shirts doing something outside, if possible. Unfortunately, I don't run, ski or do anything that is too taxing on the knees. Both have been operated on and don't want to go for knee replacements anytime soon!

I'd like to believe I'm an awesome cook, but to be so, I need someone to cook for. It's not much fun just cooking for myself since my boys (7 & 9) are very picky, but they are getting better every day. I've been told I make a great tiramisu.

I am very touchy when I like you. Think Elaine from Seinfeld when she goes "Get out!" I like to show public displays of affection as well as receive them. After being separated since April 2008, I'm ready to find someone who is kind, smart, considerate, and funny is a must! UPDATE: Divorce should be finalized sometime by October, I think.

I've read through so many profiles on here. The ones that make me laugh are the best. I wish I could write a better profile than what is here. It is very hard to talk about yourself without sounding conceited or stuck up. I can't believe all the sentences that I wrote that begin with "I". I guess that's why I teach science and not language arts.

Don't take yourself too seriously. Don't try to be funny - it has to come naturally. The guys who fall or trip, pop up and go Ta da!! that's what I'm talking about. Shoot me an email if you'd like to talk. If you see me checking out your profile but don't make contact, I may be interested, but am probably being shy and thinking - he'd never go for me. Once you get to know me, you would never think that I would ever be shy. I do believe in someof the old school ways of guys making the first move - sometimes.

Even though they only give you one choice for what you are looking for, dating could segue into long term. Not looking for anything too serious too soon.

I don't think a movie would be a good choice. Can't talk to get to know the other. There are some nice places on the waterfront here in Wilmington that are nice - with the warm weather, sit outside or walk around.
