About Me
Hi there!
I'm a single Mommy of a gorgeous three year old. We have a ton of fun together, but there's something about adult company I've been missing these days. I'm a fairly relaxed personality and enjoy taking the time to get to know someone on a friendly level before jumping in with both feet.
A little about me: I like grilled cheese sandwiches, quilting, reading, thunderstorms, cuddling and intense conversation. The kind that you can completely lose yourself in because you and the other person are so focussed on paying attention to eachother, that everything else fades away. Someday I'd like to go to Scotland and see everything that isn't touristy. I'd really enjoy travelling through the U.S. state by state and checking out all the neat things each state has to offer. Right now I do childcare in my home, but someday I'd like to own my own quilt shop and retire doing it. I love motorcycles and grew up on them. My Dad owns a Triumph that's gorgeous and my Uncle rebuilds Harley's. Lot's of fun! I have rather eclectic taste in music and can enjoy nearly everything except for Rap. Some of my favorite artists range from Johnny Cash to Bob Marley. Not so fond of todays pop/rock though.
I'd like to think I'm a nice person :) Most people I come across do. I am not perfect and understand that you aren't either. It would be a pretty boring world if we were. I'm well adjusted, intelligent (or so I think and my parents say. Perhaps bias?), compassionate, sane, and possess a rather dry sense of humor. Some people get it, and some don't. I find that I'm not often what one would call politically correct. I try very hard to be tactful, but there are other times where tact just isn't warranted, don't you agree? All in all though, I'm a soft person who doesn't like to displease people unless absolutely necessary.
So that's me in a nutshell. Looking forward to getting to know you!
First Date
Know what I miss? Simplicity. I see so many folks offering/wanting insanely expensive first "dates", that it makes me cringe. In my opinion, homemade lasagne, garlic bread, a great salad and some wine, fantabulous conversation without being formal and awkward, laughing and not stressing out about that "dreaded" first impression would just make my day. (How's that for a run-on sentence?) Heck, I'd even make the lasagne! Romance is wonderful, when the prospective couple is actually romantically involved, but a first meeting should be relaxed, simple and fun. Don't you think so too?
