About Me
Hmmm... self summary, huh? I'm not too good at giving myself accolades, but I guess I'll have to here. It'll be a work in progress, because I'm sure I'll find a better way tomorrow to express what I write today.
I've been kind of a renaissance guy for most of my life, absorbing as much as I can learn from the world and how to help it be a better place. I have an interesting mix of talents and interests. I'm a master woodworker, Massage Therapist, accomplished singer, and voiceover artist for work, but my personal life shows a much deeper interest in the sensual arts. I love to cook, make music, make love, and feel a strong pull toward anything that pleases the human senses, internally or externally.
What I’m doing with my life: Although I'm doing the renovation/restoration contracting thing most of the time, I'm hoping to phase into devoting most of my energy to my voiceover career. (message me and I'll direct you to some fun samples.)Ultimately, a contract with Disney, or any of the TV documentary networks would be my dream come true. I want to keep sharing music though, and I'm currently assembling a cast of characters for a "classy side" of jazz and blues meets Chris Isaak meets Jamie Cullum music project. I'm also moving into the foods industry with my new biz "Mystic Marinades". I'm marketing to the local wineries, so you'll soon see my sauces on the shelves of their gift shops. (Try the "Meta Memphis" BBQ sauce. Everyone says it's yummy!) I’m really good atI've found that I'm pretty good at everything I put my mind to, but exceptionally good at tecnical/mechanical things, arty things and sensual things. (*shhh*...I'm kinda naughty.) I'd have to say that I'm a good communicator and problem solver and enjoy a good challenge. Oh... I like crosswords too.
The first thing(s) people usually notice about me: Generally, people notice my deep voice first, then my body, then my smile, then my eyes, then my humor and intelligence. Then everybody tlls me that I look much younger than I am. (sweet!) My favorite books, movies, music, and foodI love to read a good novel or biography, but I find myself reading philosophical books and books on sensuality/sexuality mostly. (Like I said, earlier, I'm an information and knowledge sponge.) I'm reading the I Ching again and enjoy books on Zen and spirituality in general. One of my all time favorites is "The Way of The Peaceful Warrior". I also read books about sex like the Tantra and Kama Sutra, (but they're much better practiced with someone special. (lol) I think movies are a great finger on the pulse of society today. I prefer movies that have underlying meanings or ones that make us ponder our existence. I love pretty much anything by the Coen bros., Luc Besson, and Steven Soderberg. Some of my favorites include The Usual Suspects, L.A. Confidential, Leon: The professional, American Beauty, True Romance, The Princess Bride, and Almost Famous. I do enjoy the occasional action movie though... Dark Knight & Iron Man were incredibly well-made. I love all kinds of music, but don't get too heavily into country, rap, metal, or opera. I like music that soothes my soul, turns me on, or makes me want to get up and dance and sing.
There are very few foods I don't like, but I'd have to say I try to stay away from overly preserved or processed foods. I try to buy local too. I love making breakfasts and have a few of my favorites that I find myself cooking up on a regular basis. I love sushi, Indian, Vietnamese, good kung pao chicken, and the occasional big, fat, juicy, medium-rare steak. (It's tough to shake the foods you're raised on!) The six things I could never do without: -Not necessarily in this order... Transpo Friends Good Music Good food & drink Animalistic passion Love
I spend a lot of time thinking about: How the world could be a better place and how I can help it be...
How to find a peaceful, happy, and comfortable way of living without having to work my ass off to attain it.
And...mind-bending sex. (told you I'm kinda naughty.)
On a typical Friday night I am: Either checking out (and joining in with) good live music, hanging out with friends, or cozying up at home with a good movie or 2.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here: I should be virtuous like everyone else here and share the real naughtiness only when the time is right.
You should message me if...you're fit, fun, and free... like what you just saw and read... and if you want a deeper explanation of my answer to the last question! *big grin*
(...-Or if you just want to hear some of my voiceover stuff. -I'll send you to my facebook and mp3.com pages!)
First Date
Something "safe" for as first date a cup of coffee, or drinks, or maybe a walk or leisurely bike ride. I like the second date better though. Both people are usually more relaxed and at ease. I'd love to cook dinner on my second date, whether in my kitchen, in yours, or maybe even out in a park!
