About Me
I'm a dreamer, looking for a dream come true. A lady who tickles my fancy- dancing to the blues. Gazing and swinging on the stars , catching moon beams- bringing them home in jars. Looking for a mermaid, making mountains of molehills, riding off into the sunset-blowing smoke-jumping rope , watching out for storms- picking your brain, pulling your leg- tickling your fancy getting lost on a long river canoe trip. Hmmm what more can I say? Thinking of flowers, on valentines day.
First Date
Who knows? - haven't given it much thought. Perhaps a trip to Presque Isle--- hmmm better still , maybe Australia. the land down under has always fascinated and mystified me to no end. All those strange weird animals & such. I've always loved animals. I remember my Mom frequently said ''animals are so much nicer than people". Hmmm- maybe even a visit to the Antartic. Speaking of animals -I've always had a thing for 'penguins' Living and surviving in such a hostile enviroment. As a young child, I had a stuffed penguin, I can always remember him as if it were yesterday. After a time his skin and stitching were comming apart - he became tattered and torn long before I was ready to surrender him to the trash man. I can't recall his name ! to me I suppose he was just plain 'buddy' My Mom would throw him in the trash can time and time again. But I'd faithfully go get my friend out of the trash and hide him under my bed each time. After a time when the hiding place became well known to Mom. I decided hiding him under tha back porch might be the best idea. Many years later I rode by the old place and the house I grew up in I noted had been demolished. After all those years the memory of my old friend came back to me. Finally he must have ended up in the dump for sure, I thought. Recently , a movie called 'march of the penguins ' was released to the theaters. once again it brought back memories of my long lost friend. Though I'm not into movies or TV much at all, I will one day soon get to see that movie- more or less a documentory I suppose- nevertheless seems very interesting to me, I've often wondered at these creatures, and their ability to survive in such a harsh climate. Hmmm, first date ? I wonder? Who knows, perhaps a meeting at a music coffee house- seems to be so many of those places today ! maybe a browse through a music store, visiting a flea mkt, going to a local dirt stock car race track ? Maybe attending a nearby dog show? Maybe even a stroll in an old historical cemetary, reading headstones that reveal the mysteries of those who have passed on before us ! A hockey game ? Open air blues or folk music concert. First date ! who knows what tommorows will bring ?
