I enjoy reading, classic movies, spontaneous travel, witty and intellectual conversations, playing trivia games, gourmet cooking, nature photography, scientific documentaries, listening to various kinds of music (usually classical, jazz, 50's-80's rock, with a little R&B thrown in for good measure) and the online game RuneScape, where I'm a player moderator. Watching college football (mostly Big 10 teams) has always been a source of pure pleasure for me every Fall. I love to laugh and am fond of puns, satire and even some slapstick (especially British humor like that of Monty Python). I'm also on a never ending quest to find the perfect cup of coffee...

There are many things I've never done -- like riding a motorcycle, sailing a boat, gone hunting -- but I'm open minded and adventurous enough to try new things. I would love to learn to dance one day if I had a patient teacher, since I have practically NO coordination.

I have so many likes, it's difficult to narrow them down in this amount of space. There are a few things that I do not like: NASCAR (wow, he's turning LEFT!!), the smell of bananas, liars, cheaters, users, manipulators and knights who say "Ni" and demand a shrubbery.

My ideal man has the wisdom of Merlin, the wit of Douglas Adams, the charm of Cary Grant and the class of Humphrey Bogart. Please realize this is just an "ideal" -- but if you meet any of the criteria, it's certainly a plus!

The man who can catch my eye (and maybe my heart) is one who is respectful, intelligent, articulate, spontaneous, inquisitive, loyal, enjoys discussing and exploring "life, the universe and everything" and has a ready smile. (Why does that sound like a description of a puppy?)

I do not have children, but don't mind if you do. Family is important to me. No head games or drama here...if I wanted drama, I'd join the community theatre. I truly believe that honesty and communication are the best foundation of any relationship.

When I was a wee little girl, I developed a fascination with pirates. I'm also a science nut, so I used shorthand and a chemical symbol to form Pir88au... Pirate's Gold.
