About Me
Well I'm glad I caught your eye, if ur patient you can get to know me a bit. Don't ask me why I'm here, we're all here for similar reasons, its almost 2010, its just another way of meeting people.
I'm extremely down to earth, very sociable esp bc of my job- I deal with so many diff types of people, passionate, confident and know what I want. I'm a true Cancer. I'm very affectionate so if you cant stand a girl who will love you and SHOW it, I'm probably not for you! I'm independent, I think TOO much time spent together all the time is bad, you need a break from each other to allow yourselves to miss one another and keep things interesting, and also to continue being yourselves. Ive learned alot of life lessons through experience and relationships. If I'm interested in you Im going to accept you for who you are, not try and change you, Ive seen alot of women make that mistake. I love sports,I played softball & basketball, points for u if u play on a team, ill cheer u on! I love going to games tailgating, getting rowdy and cheering on my team. Die hard Mets fan, love Boston and going to Fenway, and New York Giants football! I love the NYC nightlife n love to dance! Dont worry I know neither of us are professional dancers, just have fun and move. Family is important to me. My brother Steven is only 15 months younger than me and is my best friend, we hang out all the time, same pool of friends. I also have a sister who is about to turn 13 (god help us!) and an 8 year old brother who I happen to share a birthday with (this lil guy is the BEST!). Hes a big sports fan so I love to play some wiffleball with him or throw around a football too. I love pickup softball games or hoops. I grew up on a block with at least 5 guys the same age as me, so I used to play with them all the time.
I LOVE to travel, wish skymiles grew on trees. Each year I go see the Mets play on the road at a different stadium. I've been to 14 of 30 major league parks, though one doesnt exist anymore and two of them don't have baseball played there anymore. Finally getting my passport since my brother is getting married in Barbados this coming spring. I'd like to travel to Europe and Australia sometime in the next ten years. Im planning on heading to London during the 2012 Olympics. Im a big fan of sightseeing and taking in the culture and atmosphere of new places. Love seeing where major events in history took place. Also a big fan of roadtrips with good friends, spontaneous and/or planned.
I love to swim, I used to swim competitively, and I still head to the pool and swim a mile for fun. Im in my zone and at peace in the pool when underwater. Love any outdoor activity, water sports (I can ski and wakeboard) , snowboarding (been boarding since I was about 12 or 13, and Im looking to get all new equipment this winter), skydiving (went once and want to go again), paintball (i own my own gun). I don't get to do them as often as I'd like, so it'd be nice to have a partner to go with! There's so much I want to do! Hike and camp in the Grand Canyon, raft down the Colorado river, visit National Parks, surf in Australia or Hawaii, zip line, jump off cliffs, swim under a waterfall, scuba dive. The Grand Canyon took my breath away! Im alot of fun when you get to know me. I can be pretty silly sometimes, usually trying to make someone laugh, or throw some humor into awkward situations! I love to laugh. I love to have fun and live life up. Im almost always smiling.
Im a freelance camera operator (video not photography, I keep getting asked that). I work for two major sports teams in New York, you can probably guess one of them. I work every home game for those teams. There are some great perks and I sometimes get to travel. I also shoot studio stuff for live TV, The US(TA) Open each summer in Flushing and other clients and events. I lug a heavy camera around the ballpark and arena! It sure is a workout. My hours always change and I like that, though I work at night a lot, weekends, and sometimes holidays (hope u don't mind). It doesn't get boring and I enjoy going to work, we're like one big family. I lifeguard, teach swim lessons on the side,& occasional guest bartend as well.
I have a wide appreciation for music. My iPod goes EVERYWHERE with me! I think my favorite is definitely rock. Classic Rock, Alternative, Punk, Acoustic/Folk. I enjoy hip hop, country, pop, classical (i used to play the violin in the orchestra for 6 yrs), r&b, some jazz, 80s rock 90s pop. Can't lie I do enjoy house/trance/techno music at times, workin out or at a nightclub. There's really not much I don't like. I LOVE going to concerts or small live shows. I have two electric guitars at home & an acoustic and have never taken lessons, so if you can play, points for you! A few artists in my most played list: Coldplay, Kings of Leon, Breaking Benjamin, Theory of a Deadman, Linkin Park, My Chemical Romance, Muse, Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, U2, REM, Jay-Z, Kanye West, John Legend, John Mayer, The Fray, Snow Patrol, Yellowcard, Nickelback, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Billy Joel, Keith Urban, The Killers, All-American Rejects,Daughtry. There's so many more!
I don't watch alot of tv regularly usually have to catch my shows on dvr. Love Glee, 24, True Blood, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Prison Break, Southpark & Family Guy. I HATE the show JERSEY SHORE, theyre ALL TOOLBAGS! If you are a guy and seriously giving a kissy face to the camera, you're a tool, move on.
A physical attraction is equally important as emotional attraction. I'm a sucker for a guy with really nice eyes and a killer smile. A fohawk is still sexy to me. Looks aren't everything though, there's so many good looking guys who are conceited jerks! But at the same time, if there's no attraction, we'll prob never get past the friend level. I do believe a great personality makes you more attractive as well. Good hygiene is important, please keep it neat, facial scruff is sexy, but if your sportin an osama beard, see ya! I don't smoke cigarettes, I'd prefer if you didn't also, it usually doesn't work out if you do. Yellow teeth are not attractive, they make white strips, check em out, kissing someone who smells n tastes like ashtray is gross! I'd like someone active and/or in shape, not a couch potato who only thinks about working out, we can motivate each other. A guy who doesn't live to work, but works to live, loves to have fun, laugh, and live it up! Could it be you? If you made it this far you must be interested!
First Date
For a date preferably something active, certainly not going to a movie. A baseball/football/hockey/baseketball game would be awesome to go watch together. There or at a bar. A concert, a cover band somewhere, live music could be fun.
Before we go on a date, I think its best to meet up at a lowkey comfortable spot to introduce ourselves in person and just talk. Something simple like lunch or coffee. I'd rather meet you and see if theres a spark rather than wasting time emailing back and forth. That way we can get to know each other face to face.
**If I viewed your profile and didnt write you that means either: a) i was intimidated and didn't know what to say b)i clicked your page by accident, or most likely c) i just wasnt interested!! I feel I have to be totally honest here, sorry if it hurts your feelings, rejection is tough to accept but I hope you would respect the honesty. **If you email me with something short and lame like, just "hello" or "how was your weekend/week" and thats it, i probably won't respond.
I'm single by choice, I have patience when it comes to dating.
