I didn't think I'd find myself here again, but here I am searching, I'm not sure today for what (or Who). I thought of Labeling myself "Long Term",and I will gladly commit with no reservations to the one who captures my heart, but until then, I'm open ended. My dad suffered a couple strokes Labor Day 2003, and I've been caring for my dad here in Flint since Jan 2004, and our relationship(me and my ex, Dawn) just couldn't weather the storm.

I moved 65 miles away, gave up my business, pretty much walked away from the band I've been in for 34 years, and a 23 year relationship, to do this, and I'm glad. My daughter is going to be 18 in September, and I've done all that could be done to give her a firm foundation of Faith that will hopefully keep her from getting in too deep, and unable to get out of trouble (so far, so good). And you can't say one thing, and do another. So I stayed faithful to Dawn, and truthful to us all. And would have stayed content in that spot, but then my dad got sick. And now, my dad's passed on, his affairs wrapped up, and I am, for the first time in 25 years, my own boss in my life. If life allows me to put down roots here, I'm not against that possibility. If it deals me a musical partner, I'm ecstatic!

I've been out of circulation for 20 some odd years, and I'm turning myself loose. It may be only a "one time thing", or it may be an "everlasting" thing (or somewhere in between), but it won't be a "first time we met, and I'm not really sure what your name is... but,...oh, what the hell!!!!" thing!
I'd like to get to know you. And I'm "fishin"! Most of my associations, with what was my life, have been shunted aside (and in some cases, locked up and the keys thrown away), because though my life has been on hold, theirs has continued on, so now I'm about to be forge ahead myself again. I'm looking for friends, lover(s), confidants, business contacts, etc....

I am a firm believer, if not before this, then certainly afterwards, being able to not only know that God's hand has been firmly in control long before my dad's strokes, but to be able to look back, and see where, and how, He's been guiding me all along! I'm Lutheran, and was very involved at St Paul Lutheran chuch in Royal Oak, until dad's condition dictated the path I've been traveling the past 3 years. And what a path it's been! I wouldn't trade anything for the Life experience that this has been. I've grown in ways that I never Imagined. And I hope I never stop!

Which I think is a good thing. Having an adaptable plan leaves plenty of room for good people's plans to be included,and that's always welcome. The adverse one's usually don't fit very well, and wander off into some other circuit. We've all got some of those that orbit usually outside harmful range, and seem to come and go, but mostly don't cause lasting grief.

Coffee, Movie, I usually go and play volleyball at Messiah Lutheran on Sunday Nights. Other than that, I'm open to just about anything at this time in my life. If you know of any open Mic coffee houses or bars, I'm game.
