So, it's true. I asked Santa for a boyfriend for Christmas.

I made my request, and here is what it said:
"Dear Santa, I would like a boyfriend for Christmas. Let him be sexy, intelligent, and kind, and let us adore each other. Thanks!"

I've been good all year. Mostly.

Love great conversation over a great meal. Going out to eat is one of my favorite pleasures in life.

Favorite movies include Hannah and Her Sisters, Gone With the Wind, Almost Famous, The Big Lebowski, Boogie Nights, The 40 Year-old Virgin, Team America, and Secretary.

Love hanging out with friends. Love solitude too. My favorite lazy day activity, (besides a good book or the rare treat of sleeping in) is watching a season of some great cable show I've DVR'd.

Also, apparently, I like speaking parenthetically.

I believe life is what you make it. You can have fun at the DMV if you're in good company.

I've been to cool places all over the states. Next I want to travel to cool places around the globe.

What am I looking for? Someone who is happy in who they are, easy going, smart and fun. Seeing as how I'm a woman, attentiveness, fidelity, and considerateness are essential too.

I'm not as glib as this in person, I'm actually pretty earnest. Oh, and I really like lolcats.

On one of my best dates ever, we happened to see that a local high school was putting up a super-expensive stage production of a popular classic film that night. We got tickets and reveled in the earnest, sweet, semi-disaster that it turned out to be. (Of course, we held our laughter until afterward at dinner.)

Another favorite in recent memory included ocean swimming, fires, a car crash, a friendly police officer, and oh yeah...dinner.
