I'm quick-witted, like to banter and talk current events. I'm playful but never mean-spirited. I like to be around people who see humor in everything, stand up for what they are passionate about, are kind-hearted, are smart, quick, have strong opinions but are open to learning. My 9-year old kid comes first. I'm not looking for a daddy or shopping for marriage. I believe in chemistry, compatibility, and am attracted to people who challenge me to think. I'm looking for a partner for special weekends, conversation, laughter, dinners, wine tasting, jazz, friendly and spirited debate, and slow-growing trust and intimacy--I'm talking emotional and intellectual. I'm friends with my ex and we are committed to parent together--no drama.

No stuffed animals, lacy pillows or potpourri here. I don't crochet, knit, or quilt. I take long, lazy walks, bbq (even a good steak) while sipping a good Cab or Zin, play badmitten with the neighborhood kids, shop for shoes, drink coffee at my computer to check my work email before work while watching the news (I make fun of Fox news by the way and am open to debate about it), drink Lattes with chemical sweetener, and buy clothes that need to be dry-cleaned and that I have to iron.

I hate doing laundry because it's so repetitive and relentless but love to vacuum--what's up with that? I hate to garden but do it anyway because I like the flowers. I mow my own lawn and leaf blow my own patio. Lazy people make me crazy. People who can't relax do the same.

I work hard everyday but occasionally want to lie in bed late on a Sunday morning to drink great slow-brewed coffee, watch cable news or home improvement shows, and laugh.

First date...coffee, wine, determine chemistry, attraction, values, interests.
