Like you, I'm not really sure what I'm doing on a free dating website called "plenty of fish" either. The name is supposed to make us all feel like there are plenty of fish in the sea. And judging by the number of people on this site... there are. Problem is, most are still just... well... fish. And I don't really like to date fish because they can't talk and they smell bad.

If you made it past my fish analogy, here's a little more about things that I enjoy:

**Smarts: Intelligence makes me happy. I will take brains over boobs any day (although I suppose it is possible to have both). That said, I need to hold up my end of the bargain and actually talk about things other than beer, football, and bro-ing out with my buddies. Fear not, I have read the entire collection of Dr. Seuss books and consider myself quite skilled in the art of intelligent conversation.

**Humor: Stand up comedy is awesome... if you don't know, I will teach you. If you know about Brian Regan, Jim Gaffigan, or Dave Attell, you and I will get along. I have been known to frequently quote cult classics including Anchorman, The Big Lebowski, Zoolander, and Family Guy. I guess people tend to laugh alot around me (I suppose they're usually laughing at me but... whatever... my mom says I'm special).

**Adventure: I tend to get restless and like to up and go places with people I enjoy. My best spontaneous trip ideas so far have been to Jamaica, Amsterdam, and Guatemala. I have an itching to go to Iceland and Cuba sometime soon. I'm also a big fan of the outdoors, including BBQs, pool parties, the beach, boating, central parkin' it, and driving out to the Amish countryside to see what it would have been like living in the 1700s.

**People: People are awesome, in all their quirky and strange ways. I am a lover of psychology and behavioral science. Meeting new people and hearing their stories is a big interest... I love to listen.

**Storytelling: On the other hand, I also like to talk... and storytelling is my thing. I wrote a book on how to tell good stories, and love to practice what I preach.

**Business: I'm a businessman in every sense of the word. I start companies and that's what excites me. My current venture involves running a start-up non-profit company, soon to be the biggest volunteer network in the Jersey/NYC area!

Best Date Ideas:

- Dinner followed by best ice cream in the city
- Cooking something (oftentimes turns into hilarious stories of success or failure)
- Boat ride / fishing (lots of fun and great way to get to know each other)
- Go-kart racing
- Mini-golf or state fair
- Crashing garage sales
- Getting to know each other at coffee shop
- Karaoke bar (always good to embarrass yourself)
