I place absolute value on family & friends, which I will fight for until the end of time. Sadly, my father passed away in June at the too young age of 77 having fought the good fight for 8 years after a massive stroke. I miss my Dad daily and will continue to miss him until the end of time. I am very close to my Mother, without being a "Momma's Boy", always have been, always will be. I will continue to be very supportive of her, doing whatever I can to make her life more enjoyable! As I said..."My family is very important to me - I only have this one!"...and as a family on my Dad's side, well we go all the way back to 1264 AD in the County of Lancashire, England.

It was during this unhappy event that I re-evaluated my existance and concluded that yes I do live within a finite timeline, also that I neither have control over nor am I privy to know that timeline. I have a big heart and there is still room available for the right person. I have had a wonderful life so far as a single guy, doing all the single guy things it is we like to do. In reflecting, perhaps now is my time to settle down, to find a "Lady", to do the coupling thing and share our lives and their many blessings?

I am a good and decent Christian, but certainly not an in-your-face bible-thumper.

I work in the ever changing, fast moving Sports Industry, specifically Auto Racing, Track & Field and Football. I am currently heading up 2 contracted projects here in southwestern Ontario.

I've travelled extensively; living, seeing and enjoying the world first-hand and not vicariously thru the journeys of others and their photos. I have lived here in Canada for most of my life, but also down in the USA and over in Europe for a few years.

I played pro Football for 6 years after College on the Defensive Line as a Nose Guard, so I was a big guy at 6'2"/265 lbs and am still large but I'm trying to lose weight this year!! Now, I am looking at starting up a Football project to commence play in the 2010 season. It's kind of like a "Practice what you preach", or a "Follow your own advice" scenario. Maybe my Sports Admin degree will finally be of some value to me? or maybe I've been wrong all along? LOL

I have raced competitively in many classes of cars - open wheel single seaters, coupes, Prototypes and even karts, but never on motorbikes nor in trucks.

I'm active in Conservative politics, Masonic Order, Knights Templar, Kiwanis and Chamber of Commerce. I enjoy boating, competing in Masters Track & Field, coaching football and the occassional round of golf.

I am a "Knight of Olde", with all its Rights, Privileges and Obligations thereto appertaining. My College minor was "Medieval English History" and fully understand that that was a simpler time, when Men were Men and Women where women...when "Honesty", "Loyalty" and "Trust" were so much more than just three words of little or no meaning, and I really and truly believe that Chivalry does have a place in our modern society.

As for movies and music, I have a broad taste, but do not like genre/styles that are on the fringe, the macabre, the violent or just stupid! Go figure, but I love Movie Soundtracks and Broadway Musicals!

For my "Quest", I seek a taller, educated and refined "Lady" who carries herself well both in public and private, yet is neither eye candy nor a Trophy. You have a developed brain and you use it regularly - that is very sexy! This is a very big world that in this electronic age gets smaller by the day, but I'm hopeful of finding this "Lady" close to home and closer to my heart.
