I'm a small-town girl living in the big city. Originally from North Carolina, I moved up to New York to live "the dream". (Someone's dream, at least; my dream involves central air conditioning.)

I value family and tradition and I try to live a life that is morally sound. Though, I'm not one to shy away from a lot of fun. I stay up too late, play too loud, and surround myself with wonderful friends. I would describe my personality as optimistic, sarcastic, and spontaneous. I have a big heart and I love wholly and deeply.

I love board games, city tours, and intellectually stimulating conversation.

I'm overly imaginative, honest to a fault, and a hopeless romantic.

I quote movies often (always appropriately), I'm rarely embarrassed, I feel most beautiful in a formal gown.

I like listing things in sets of 3. (apparently)

I have a special skill for eavesdropping. I can't help it, though. I hear everything.

I do have a southern accent, though it fades in and out. Most of the time, I can conceal it, but any amount of alcohol will cause it to resurface.

Lately, my favorite thing is finding a nice seat in the park and people-watching. People fascinate me.

I love to read (mostly fiction) and I'm pretty sure I belong in the 18th century - part of me feels that if I display all of the books I own, it will be seen as a sign of wealth.

I love animals and I spend a lot of time thinking about how much I want to get a pet. And, I turn into a 4 year-old child when I go to the zoo or aquarium. This will have to be okay with you. ;)

One day, I want to fly a small airplane.

I really enjoy brunch.

I think I'm funny (hilarious, even) but sense of humor is relative, mostly. Right? Still, I can take it as well as I can dish it out - so if you can't take a joke (or make a joke), it would never work out between us. ; )

I am not a princess. I don't want to be treated like a one - I would rather have mutual respect from both parties. I change my own light-bulbs, I can check the oil in my car - I don't need to be taken care of daily. You shouldn't need to be either. I'm not saying that you should have it all together (because, honestly, who does?) but if you have Daddy issues, Baby-mama drama, or Pissy-man syndrome, move along - I'm not going to fix you. (I'm sorry if that is mean or harsh, but at least it's honest.) Essentially, I just want to be respected and loved for who I am.. Shouldn't that be the same for us all?

Once, I engaged in a brief conversation with a stranger in the park. Before going our separate ways, he described me as "young, cute, and a facilitator of dirty jokes." I think that pretty much sums it up.
