I have a secure job and a decent house. Now I'm looking for someone to share life's little pleasures with. From holding hands while walking thru the mall, to sharing how your day went (good or bad), to laughing at that inside joke that only you and I would know the meaning of.
I enjoy camping, an occasional trip, or group party, but I prefer a quite night at home snuggled up on the couch watching a movie, or working on the house or yard, over going out. I'm past the bar scene. That doesn't mean I'm a couch potato. I love trying new things (food, movies, music, etc.). I'll try just about anything once.
And I'm an optimist. I look for the good in every situation. I believe that you get out of life what you put into it. If you're comfortable being grumpy, you will look for things all day that make you mad. I like being happy, so I look for cheerful things. There everywhere - saying Hi to strangers as you pass on the street and getting a smile, the glow of a childs grin, the energy of a puppy coming up to see who you are.
I'm looking for a similarly oriented gal who wants to get to know each other, however long it takes. I'm looking for a long term relationship, not a hook up.
Plus, I hope you like music because I listen to everything from Celine Dion to Metallica. In the words of Nickelback "Nobody wants to go it on their own, Everybody wants to know their not alone, Somebody else that feels the same somewhere, There's gotta be somebody for me out there."
The only thing I ask is that you do not smoke. It is a bad habit I find completely unappealing. Oh, and I am alergic to cats so living with one would not be possible.

On a first date, I would go for a lunch or dinner, followed by a walk so we could talk about whatever topics come up.
