I'm a work in progress - I know that now more than ever. In the last two years, between my six month volunteer stint in the Philippines and my current job of Social Service Management, I've changed immensely. I am incredibly more open to the wonders that life has to offer.
I admit that I don't know what my life holds for me. I used to think that I needed a plan (internet dating would never have made that list) and to know what came next. I now choose to believe that as long as I'm honest with myself and with God that I will end up where I'm supposed to be. So now I'm concentrating on trying to enjoy the journey.
When I'm not working, I love spending time with my family and my friends. I also enjoy reading, photography, travel, games, wine, movies, music, conversation and more. My taste in all of the above varies depending on company and mood, so I would say I'm pretty flexible. I can and do enjoy nights out and nights in with my closest friends and family. For me its almost more about the person or the people I'm with than what we are doing. Because of that though, it can take a while to get a true picture of who I am.

Hmmm... other interesting things since I mentioned Rome and the Philippines - I studied in Rome for 4 months and LOVED it. About 2yrs ago, I quit my then current job and went to the Philippines to volunteer for 6 months. This was the best decision I have ever made!
I now work for a low income non for profit senior housing management corporation and I travel a lot. So while I definitely would love to find a long-term relationship, I also know that we would both have to be flexible and ok with uncertainty when it comes to the future. For myself, I live with this through my faith and trusting in God's plan for my life. Hopefully I can find someone willing to do the same.

When it comes to first dates, I'm pretty casual. I like open spaces and opportunities for conversations and interaction. This can be something like coffee, a neighborhood festival or even a meal. I do love Chicago in the summer though, as it possesses infinite possibilities for great times.
