Hi, nice to meet you. Well, let's see...how to start. I'll try to be a bit serious here, though I love a sense of humor! Straight forward, here goes, I am here to find good friends and especially that one great person to spend my life with. I understand that attraction and "chemistry" are important, but I believe that other essential elements to a sound commitment are the building of trust and familiarity, and these take time. So, I will not approach finding my true friends and partner in a shotgun fashion. I will give you my full attention until it becomes clear to either of us that we are for each other or not.

I am stable (well most of the time), emotionally mature(? usually) and dependable (Yep!). I like the outdoors. I have an affinity for the ocean, and love being around the water. I love hanging out at home too. I really believe that people can express themselves and become their best selves within a loving relationship. The world can be a chaotic place, and I would like a relationship to be a peaceful oasis.

I like to cook, but not for just myself. I enjoy music and sports, museums, movies, the B Street Theater, (believe it or not – a man who likes to shop, but only for antiques, or toys), I am a history buff and travel is a big thing with me.

I'm looking for a friendly, kind, fun, healthy woman who likes conversation, travel, dining out or in, physical activities such as bike riding, snorkeling or hiking. Someone who is open and honest. Likes to talk and share, affectionate and not afraid to say "I love you."

Favorite hot spots: I like small out of the way restaurants with good food. There are many along the river. I generally visit Hawaii once a year and Mexico once a year. I've traveled quite a bit and still have other sites on my future itenerarary.

Favorite things: Favorite food is Japanese. I love real movies about real human issues, unidscovered hideaway restaurants, classic rock, Blues, some country and smooth jazz, long conversations, physical affection, good books (usually historical). Rainy days by the fire ..etc.

Last read: Flags of Our Fathers. Absolutely loved it. Before that I really enjoyed a novel called Short Straw. Because of my work commute I listen to books on tape regularly.

It's never real until people meet face to face. So, I prefer a fairly early meeting over a cup of coffee or a glass of wine, just to say hi and share a smile.
