About Me
There’s so much to say about myself, but I never really know where to start or what to say. You can see from the pictures what I look like physically. I’m very focused on my career. Sometimes I come across as being too serious, but I do know how to have fun and laugh. I really enjoy laughing at stupid things I do and acting goofy either with my cousins’ children or with friends.
I work in education. I love children and want to make a difference in at least one child’s life. I especially love working with the younger children, because you can instill in them a love for learning and exploring new things, before they develop all the negative thoughts and feelings.
I love spending time with friends and family. I’m not much of a party animal or into large crowds in confined spaces. Simple pleasures are what I enjoy, including spending time at parks, the zoo or near the water. I can be competitive, but it’s all in good fun. I love shooting pool, miniature golf, bowling, and darts, but I’m not the best at any of them. Air hockey is my game and I can usually back up my trash talk. Unless of course, I’m laughing too hard. Karaoke is another activity I enjoy. Unfortunately, I sound better after I have a few drinks (preferably Margaritas or Amaretto Sours. Going to the racetrack is always fun. I love the smells and fast cars, even though I don't know much about cars. I love thunderstorms and photography. Usually my camera follows me where ever I go. If I weren't teaching, I would love to do professional photography. Since I don't understand all the technical stuff on my camera, I would love to take a class. I've both two cameras in the last two years, and I'm already planning my next one, either a Canon or Nikon. I love spending time in East Texas (Bullard/Tyler area), because my cousin and her family live up there. Her boys are great subjects for photos.
Even though I like driving, I hate Houston traffic. Road rage is an issue. So if you are ever on the phone or in the car with me while driving, I apologize now for whatever you may hear. I'm not a fan of heights, so roller coasters, ferris wheels, etc. are out of the question. I have made exceptions, like when I went to San Antonio, but those exceptions are few. Bugs (spiders, snakes, anything crawling on me) aren't high on my list either.
I'm looking for someone to be friends first with. If there's a greater connection, then that's a plus, but I'm not going to rush into anything. Phyiscally I can't pinpoint specific traits. It really depends on how everything comes together on the guy. Two things that I prefer is a guy who's older than me and taller, but it's not written in stone. I definitely don't want to rule anybody out and because of that miss out on a great friend or something more. Because I get along well with my family(most of them), I would like a guy that holds family in the highest regards. He has to be caring, understanding, and honest. I would love a guy that can communicate, which includes both listening and talking to me about how his day went and his take on various topics.
I tend to view profiles, but not message first (usually because I can't decide what to say and when I do write, I feel that I am rambling on). Don't think if I have viewed your profile, but not emailed that I don't find you interesting. If anyone on my profile has you curious or has sparked your interest, feel free to email.
First Date
First dates... or should I say first meetings can be rather nerve racking. Something casual, where you can talk and get to know a person. Someplace that has a variety of activities like The Boardwalk, a park, zoo, Main Event (I play a mean game of SkeeBall - when I ain't trash talking and laughing at how badly I can't back up my talk).
