Well firstly I think honesty is important - so I do come with some baggage as my ex is causing problems me seeing my two children. This really only impacts as it means I'm not on this site much so if I don't reply that's why. I do try to reply to all messages as it's simple good manners but I've noticed messages get automatically deleted after a while so apologies in advance if I don't get back to you.
A little bit about me - well I'm kind, honest and caring and have a good sense of humour (though who's going to say any different about themselves. Since separating 18 months ago I've been looking after my dad - so I can cook, clean and know how to use a washing machine and iron
As for interests - well we all seem to like walks on the beach, country pubs and snuggling on the sofa watching a DVD ..... but you could do those things with my dog

!! so I'll try to give you more of an insight:
I'm a member of the National Trust and RSPB - I love the wilds of Scotland - I've been whale watching - I've written a novel but haven't got round to trying to get it published - I read all sorts of books, last two being a history of the Cuban Missile Crisis and "Twilight", I'm currently on "The Hobbit" and will probably read the new Winnie the Pooh book even if my children aren't around to hear it. I belong to a parrot rescue charity and have 4 birds that I'm looking after .... and also two dogs (Hovawarts - don't worry no one else has heard of them either)
And my name is Andy by the way.
Well I guess I'm looking for friendship and see what happens later so I don't see going out as too scary a prospect. To be honest it'd be nice to find someone to share a walk or meal out or trip to the cinema or theatre.
