I am a bit of a geek or nerd, and proud of it. I listen to Public Radio, I enjoy documentaries about nature and science. My taste in music is broad, but I tend to the classical side. I like sing choral music and play my flute. I love Broadway shows and folk music. I am politically on the left. I am an optimist by nature and by profession. I have a joke or funny story for every occasion. I am a devoted dad to my 3 daughters who are now young ladies (19, 20 and 21 years old) (I have two adorable granddaughters). I am affectionate and I love hugs and holding hands. I am as dependable as Horton the Elephant. I have intense green/blue eyes (you have to see them in person to appreciate them). I love the work I do, and I like to work hard.
I was happy for many years being married; now that I am separated and on the way to divorce, I am hoping to find that kind of intimacy and commitment with another lady. I believe that successful relationships are a combination of inspiration AND perspiration; you can't just rely on how you feel today (thought that is a part of it), you also have to work at your relationship, and talk things out.

We would meet at a friendly public place like a pub/restaurant that has tables inside and out. We might sit outside (if the weather is nice) and have a drink and then have dinner. We'd walk to the pier nearby and watch the boats and the sunset. Maybe we'd talk, but maybe we'd just be silent for a while and enjoy each others company.
