I'm a 31 year old working in human resources, I have a great job that I actually enjoy. Ideally, I'll finish my first novel someday and I'll be able to write the rest of my life but that's been slow going since I enjoy a healthy social life.

I read a lot and enjoy just hangin out but I do have a wild side although I find it's quieting down some as I'm getting older (I haven't been to a club in years), I like the smaller bars where I can actually hear the person I'm with talk. I respect intelligence and a huge sense of humor so I'm usually attemping to use my own to entertain whoever I'm around. One of my faults is that I can't smile on command, the ones on my pic are a stretch even though I'm smiling most of the time as it is. Camerashy, I guess. I'm an extremely open and honest person and that's all I ever expect from anyone else. Sometimes people aren't right for each other and I'd rather be told that it didn't feel right than receive the cold shoulder. Honesty is huge (duh, who doesn't put that in their profile), even though I can't admit to always being the most wholesome person in the world, I never lie and despise liars. Another thing, sometimes my humor can be a little sarcastic, I've been labelled that before. But I like to think my comedic qualities are infectious. People aren't always what they seem yet some others are much better than the first impression.

I don't think I'm really asking for much, at first someone to share some laughs with and enjoy my goofy side instead of just put up with it. I have a serious side, too, so someone that's independent enough to want their alone time and not be around me 24/7 is definitely needed. Of course alone time decreases as things progress but I get cranky if I'm with someone that's way clingy or ultrahigh maintenance. Obviously mutual attraction is a start... aside from those a match would need to have a strong personality or I'll get bored. I won't let someone walk all over me and I want the same in someone I'm dating. I guess the right term for that would be to have a little spice. Oh yah, she should like tattoos, too, I have 5 including a rather large one on my back, ;).

Walking around the city on a sunny day finding someplace new to sit outside and eat or get a drink stopping at any places either of us would find interesting. It's a good way to get to know someone's interests.
