I'm not the "dreamy guy who's sex on a stick." I probably never will be.

What I am is a technical writer by day and an amateur photographer by night. I am also an accomplished cook and baker.

I like to stay connected to the world around me by reading the news. Except for local news, TV journalism doesn't appeal to me because it has become largely sensational and irresponsible.

I love listening to music, especially well-composed movie scores and heavy metal. I can't sing to save my life and I sure as hell can't recite lyrics but I enjoy what I hear. Does the music inspire me, make me happy, or move me? Those things matter to me.

I addicted to coffee, I am a firearm enthusiast, and I am anime fan. I've been watching anime since 1977 and it's part of who I am. I am a gun enthusiast and a rifle marksman but I am more a hardware nerd and recreational target shooter. I love Jamaica Blue and wrinkle my nose at Kopi Luwak.

When it comes to photography, I will shoot in studio conditions but I prefer to use existing light as much as possible. You'll find me roaming the hills and backwoods of the SF Bay Area or capturing cityscapes and skylines. At the same time, I love taking pictures of people enjoying these environments.

I am, by no means, a formally-trained chef or baker but I take pride in what comes out of my kitchen. My most favorite cuisines are Japanese, German, Russian, Mexican, Italian, Philippino, and Korean. I do, however, like several others and I am always willing to eat or try my hand at new dishes. It is not the act of eating that I enjoy, it is the wide palette of flavors, odors, textures, and sensations that I love experiencing.

First date? Chat over coffee or dinner, some place comfortable and nice but not ostentatious.

Spending a lot of money on a date seems fake and ultimately futile. I'm not a sugar-daddy - even if I made that kind of money, I sure as hell would not waste it on a person who only sees dollar signs. Either you like me or you don't.
